worst surf etiquette nominees

I was jamming down the line at the best spot in town and some sloppy dork blatantly dropped in on me. I called him on it and his excuse was "I can only see out of one eye"...wtf?!

 

i think some pro just lost his eye.

I used to work with a sponger that paddled out there. Someone spit in his face as soon as he got to the lineup. He told me that he went "surfing" at the oB jetty. I was like, well dude, what did you do, even if you arent from OB, they dont just spit in your face. After about 5 minutes of prying, he threw in the fact that we was on a boogie board. I started laughing and told him, ohhh.... well that was a pretty important part of the story.

 

That's an excuse only to be used by veterans.

 

I feel like every thread turns into a bunch of people battling as hard as they can to get their point across. Save that energy for the water. Who cares what you think. I live in North Jersey. South Jersey people are great people. So are VA beach people, and NC people. We all share a favorite past time of surfing. Like Jerry said, Can't we all just get a-bong?"

 

I disagree - no one should use that excuse when surfing. Anyway, he wasn't a veteran (he mentioned how his eye was injured)...just a half blind, clumsy dumbass that should take up kayaking in a lake.

problem is, there just aren't enough easily accessible/decent surf spots for the amount of people that want to surf. If it were just good surfers out there, then maybe, but there are exponentially more wannabes

 

That is because the average age of the posters (posers?) on this forum is 69 years old. Speaking just for myself, I know everything there is to know about waves ( where they come from, how they break, weather influences, best forecasts), equipment ( hand boards, wooden twins, HPLB, HPSB, fishies, logs, Carver sidewalk surfers, fin socks, FCS systems, Future systems, Crazy fins setups, ) surf chow down spots ( pre surf fuel ups, post surf pig outs, surferdude training superfoods ) ITOC (intoixicasnts of choice), surf travel destinations (Belmar anyone?) presurf audio psyche up tunes (**** Dale, Pennywise, Mylee Cyrus) and anything else that is surf related. Hey dude get off of my cloud!
