yea dude,a 2ft hawaiin swell is the eastcoast maxed out.if your a true surfer u want to go to hawaii atleast once.late january is the best time since most of the pros went back home after the triple crown.the pacific is a different animal.our epic doomsday swell is like the inside sandbar at pipe on a small decreasing swell.since im an eastcoaster,i dont even bother telling people i surf.they tend to laugh and say nj has no waves.we do get waves from time to time, but its always the same.u have to explore and get those big crazy barrels that last 1000 yards.

places id like to go,hawaii, western africa, south africa, indo, fiji, mexico.i was thinken bout moving to mexico, but im not attracted to mexican women so i decided to stay.the waves are epic, tons of secret spots,no crowds, small waves big waves, barrels, walls, etc.id like to move to portugal or spain, great waves and great women

Waverlysurd is right. A typical East coast year gives 6-10 of East Coast Epic conditions. A single swell in CA or HI will provide better surf and conditions. There's no comparison. Stay in NJ for family, friends, work or your gf but not for surf.

you make no sense at all..and there is no "inside sand bar" at pipe. Double overhead is not "small" by anyone's standards.

yes everyone move to CA...a single swell is better than an entire year on the East Coast. Please, everyone move there.

You're like the wind beneath my wings...stinkbug is on to something, no point even bothering w/ this wave riding stuff on the east coast....either move out west, or sell all your gear and find a new 'hobby'.

No one from the east should ever move here. Its crowded, the water is cold, your waves are better, and now, thanks to Fukishima, the ocean is killing us off daily. The radiation is causing our sharks to grow to massive sizes and a strong taste for human meat.

If you come to California, you will die.

Fukishima is the best thing that has ever happened for us natives.

    Surf fishing study
My study is over many years of dealing with redneck scum throwing their hooks of death at any place they feel like. Even if there are swimmers, kids, kooks, and us surfers around. I have asked these self absorbed people over 50 different times to be cautious of swimmers only to be meet with arrogant its all about me responses. My conclusion is that 90% of these people are as stupid as they look. Fight back in a subtle manner remember they usually have knifes in their quiver. Unite surf world.

The guy who started this thread also started the one I copy and pasted above. My advice to him is to move west before the people in the east figure out who he is. Hell the radiation may even cure his cancerous thought process.

Try feeding the locals pork roll. They will become your best friends instantly. Pork roll is like crack in Hawaii.

I think you mean "pork hash"

The 7-11s out there (which are way better than any sev on the mainland) have the pork hash and spam musubis in the little plastic display shelf thingies sitting on the counter by the registers for the impulse buyers. A few years ago you could get a few pork hash or a spam musubi for a dollar.

As far as the OP's radiation concerns, you can look at the NRC nuclear powerplant map and see that there are a bunch of reactors on the east coast, all waiting to go Fukushima. Almost every one of these plants has a similar set up to Fuk, with decades of spent nuclear fuel rods sitting in cooling pools (which need active power to keep water circulating). There is no plan to dispose of the spent fuel rods. There is no profit motive for any of the operators to come up with a disposal plan. We modern humans want our baseload electricity and don't really care about the environmental consequences.

You probably have a better chance of getting irradiated on the east coast (if you stay long enough) than Hawaii. Move to Hawaii where you're biggest health risks come from getting fat by eating too many pork hash and musubis and loco mocos.

No I brought pork roll from NJ to Hawaii. I've been all over and rarely found pork roll anywhere but NJ. Hawaiians were all about me going back to Jersey to get more pork roll and bring it back to Hawaii. Seriously If you want to stay in Hawaii on some locals couch in Hawaii go to NJ buy pork roll the real stuff that's mfg in Trenton then knock on the door of the house who's couch you want to sleep on feed them pork roll. Automatically you will have a place to stay til the pork roll runs out.

From Fukushima, to a lack of attraction for Mexican women, to 7-11s & Pork Rolls. With a 'Blue Crush' reference thrown in for good measure. Wow.

What is more likely gentlemen? That we have a brand new muse? ... Or that Wacky Kooky isn't really a 'new' member?

First conspiracy of 2014 has arrived. Who is Wacky Kooky?

No, you are wrong, yet again. There are 3 reefs at pipe. There is no "inside sandbar" to surf at Pipe. There is 1st reef, 2nd reef, and 3rd reef. There is a sandbar at Gums, but Gums is not Pipe. The same way OTW is not Pipe. Yes, I have been to and surfered Hawaii 3x but will continue to live on the East Coast. And no, I don't have any plans to be on the WCT, nor should 99.9% of surfers.
The fact that you get your surfing knowledge from Blue Crush tells me everything.
