Thanks in advance for any help. I recorded a double feature on DirecTV a while back that was Riding Giants and some other documentary. I thought it was all one movie but when I downloaded Riding Giants on iTunes it didn't have the second part. If anyone has seen this film or knows what it's called please please please help me. I've been looking for about 3 years now. Here's the best I can describe it: There were some guys shooting a big wave documentary during a (Quiksilver?) tournament on North Shore. The waves were so big they postponed the tournament but the guys shooting the documentary went out and were towing in with Jet Skis. There were ex-Vietnam helicopter pilots shooting it and the waves were so high they were flying in the troughs sometimes. Riding Giants was from 2004 so I'm guessing it would be from sometime around then. It was definitely in the early days of HD. Hopefully my description is good enough to jog somebody's memory. Reading the description I don't think that's it but it looks pretty cool too. Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm pretty sure the one in thinking of was only shot in one location. It was during a postponed QuikSilver event. I'm not sure if it was The Eddie or a tournament though.
I would look into Quiksilver's movie bio and see what you can find. Is it the code red stuff from tahiti?
