Just a thought. Could it be perhaps be somebody impacting the coast? Fairly common occurrance in some parts of Florida.
Sorry guys it was me. I had a lot of chili this morning and was sitting on the ground and ripped a massive fart.
Read up on the US military testing poison gas by spraying it over several major American cities & then monitoring hospitals for admissions. This is more of the same shiiiiite, aka secret military insane testing of technologies, wherein we will never know until a long time from now. And even then, maybe maybe not.
This could be it, I had 2 free boards go missing during the event. All that was left was a post it note with the word repent written in crayon.
I know they were supposed to be doing some testing offshore for potential oil drilling. I don't believe they started that yet though.
Hey Chich do you remember or were you around in the 80's when the navy used to shoot at the practice drones off of Dam Neck? The boom from those artillery shells would practically knock things off shelves in our house at the north end of sandbridge. I just wouldn't want to be the poor pilot that had to tow the things behind his plane. Hearing all of the machine gun fire also kept us from venturing around the poles to catch waves on the base. I had a few friends that got greetings from the navy guys that were very similar to the stories about weapon toting rogue border "guards" in Central America.
Daytona Rouge Wave info: ''You've never surfed until you've done it in a Jeep,'' he quipped. The Daytona Beach Wave of 3–4 July 1992: A Shallow-Water Gravity Wave Forced by a Propagating Squall Line 20th anniversary of the Daytona Beach Rogue Wave
While looking for the Daytona info I came across this Google Earth Tour link The Topography of Giant-Wave Zones I'm on a slow connection here at work so I didn't check the whole tour but here is a summary of the text Cached copy
along the lines of a regional catastrophe the vabeach/0bx crew MIGHT (ireallydontknow) want to consider an unfolding downstream flow of toxic coal ash which also poses possible threat to water supply….all this from today's edition nytimes…..
yes I do remember. I used to get up early and go on the S side of the poles before the guard got there. Waves (seemed) so much sweeter. topped off with bombs and machine guns. On the N end there were LACs, They would come screaming by at a 1000mph and when they got to the ramp at Fart Story, they'd cut 90 degrees and blast up the beach and into the parking lot onthe other side of the dunes. Back in the late 70's early 80's I was out near the point when a flock of Hueys came around in formation. I was goofing around acting like I was shooting them with a machine gun. The last gun ship cuta 360 around me. The gunner was almost lying flat, I could see his face over his weapon. Good times.
Great story. The s-turns area up near the dam neck poles was my local spot in the 80's. That was such a great break for years then poof!!...no more huge sandbar.
Same with the N end. there was beach replenishment there, but all the sand came up from the resort area dredging. After they ran the schitt(storm water) pipe out to sea, the beach grew faster. It now ends where the outside break use to was.
keep the thread alive - earthquake ystdy in socarolina. when i lived in lima my high rise would sway….never quite got used to that.
