    EH!

I've asked you dead beats for board advise in puerto rico multiple times and you all continue to leave me standing here with my **** in my hand, so please allow me to reiterate:

    1) probably going to fly my 5-9 down there
    2) I want a longboard so I can get in these waist highs and walk it like a pro, do any of these surf shops sell them down there for like 100 bucks or something?

    Listen to this man.

As for your surfboard, you're best off cutting it in half, putting it in your suitcase & then re-assembling with the help of the friendly locals in Rincon.

The problem with your question was the $100 price point.

Néstor Ramirez makes good Surfboards, but you won't get one for $100

    Muniz surfboards are good too

If you're travelling through San Juan, you might find something used at la ocho surfshop http://www.la8surf.com/ but again, $100 is tough.

The idea of buying an old rental from Desecheo surf shop might be the closest to $100 you can get as far as a real surfboard.

But at that price point, you may just have to grab a Wavestorm at the local Costco.

Oh, and btw, stop that or you'll go blind.

gotcha, as for quality of longboard i dont really care (like at all), im probably just gonna find someplace i can rent for like 20 bones, my only concern is if i get the notion to start bombing double overheads and nosedive a 9 ftr right into the reef and break it but **** it, ive got mulah.

    sick story:
bought boards for like 30 bucks american when i went to south africa a few years ago (for some reason PRs more expensive). wasnt a longboard, didnt need one since i could rent one for like 6 bucks whenever i wanted one was some waterlogged, abused short board some aggressive wannabe surfer had all tricked out with his stickers and **** on the bottom lol. end of story

Im going down to Isabela, PR in february but only for a week. I looked it up and made a call to the surf shop on the beach there to see how rentals worked. Has anybody done that before and if so how did it work for you?

Another problem may be you haven't said what part of PR you are going to. They are assuming Rincon but things are different all over the island. Don't pay em any mind. Where will you be?

Green Room in Rincon has a bunch and the guy is super cool. But it's probably easier to rent if your only looking to spend 100 bucks

Gary, my dear friend, my wee brother just came home from CR with his gringo kook buddies, makes me want to vomit seeing insta crowd gringos leaving Rhode Island like that to go blow up some salsa brava sand bar.. Apparently they all got barreled.. But panama is where it's at now dude! They said the Atlantic side is producing consistent over head and long period, they also stated that the west coast was 3 ft &18 seconds, sick long board conditions they say. Meanwhile back in Rhode Island I scored big with my surfboards and my kite boards.

--You sir are retarded. If you've got "mullah"...wtf are you talking about $100 longboards?? As to your "sick story"...I just don't get it. What is so sick about renting a crap board in S Africa? I've got a feeling you and the PR reefs are going to be good buddies on your trip. --

Ah, on the contrary sir, just got back and I can confirm there was minumal contact between myself and the reefs. As a matter of fact, I shredded like the champ that I am. Oh and thanks for your advice on the mullah, I've got lots of it but I guess that's what a degree from Stanford (ever heard of it?) will do for you.

Do you even surf bro? I can meet up with you and give out some lessons, let me know

Rent from Greenlight Rinco, 25 bucks a day, 5th and 8th day free. Clemente is cool. I rode the same exact board the last 2 years. Custom made eps boards, not surftech junk.

If you're going to Rincon stop by Mar Azul and talk to Bobby, he'll hook you up. He's right up the hill from Sandy Beach and Maria's.
