Anyone make themselves a hand board? if so post some pics!! ill be done with mine tomorrow. Winter has been slow so i though i would take a wack at making one myself instead of paying 80 bucks. Are they any fun in the water?
you can make them out of virtually anything. Ive made em out of old skate decks and other woods. Pretty simple
I made one just completely free hand with sandpaper. Put some resin on it. It was pine. Its about 3 inches wider than my hand. Looked like it wouldn't work, but it actually did. Even in mini 1 footers.
homemade hand planes have become very popular in California for the past few years. Limitless possibilities with shapes, types of wood, etc. Super fun stuff.
