who ever said kook out surfing alb with out a leash is a lb kook.. dude ive surfed lbs my whole life and have never used leashes no matter how big the surf. if you cant control your ride you shouldnt be out there. i give him props for not surfing with a leash, its the real way to surf a lb.if you surf with a leash on a lb your a kook, unless its like 14 foot even so if your not prepared to surf double over with out a leash you shouldn't be there.

Wouldn't a board have to be lost far offshore (way past lineups and breaking waves) for it not to be pulled back in to the nearby shores in the next day or so? The tide range would affect this too I'd think. As far as I know, that stick would turn up pretty close by and very soon. Can't say it wouldn't be dinged beyond reasonable repair relative to cost.

Basically, this LB isn't a message in a bottle that's bound for the breaks of UK. It's coming home. Although one LB on its way to the UK or Africa is one less LB in our EC lineups. I'd support that cause!

Oh puh puh puh-lease... stop with the LB hating. You should appreciate your surfing roots and can't do that if you don't give a LB a chance.

Interesting POV. I surf with a leash on a longboard so in the event I lose that 10 1/2 foot monster, I don't kill someone inside. I give him props on learning his lesson by losing an expensive surfboard. #schoolofhardknocks #dutytoactasareasonableperson
I do not use a leash on my soft top when I surf Peahi though. That's just kooky.

Surfboards Australia - not an expensive board. One of those Tom Sena popouts.
