I tired using a pair but still get water coming in, unless I make the velcro super tight and then it just cuts off my blood circulation haha

I wish there was a a sewn in rubber seal on them. If I was more handy I'd experiment with some stuff. The rip curl flash bomb gloves have a sewn in seal(that I wish they put on the inside of their suits) so I may pick up a pair of those to try.

Been using the 5/4 flashbomb and the suit has developed "thinning" of the rubber and the seams are coming apart. Next time I'm going Xcel.

i switched over to the o'neill pyrotech this year...overall, a super warm, comfortabe, flexible suit. w/ as cold as it's been this winter (air & water), i really haven't been cold, even on the windier days. my only complaint is that the hood cinches oddly, tightening more at the chin & less at the top of the forehead, so it feels like it's digging into my chin but i feel like i need to hold the top onto my head to keep the hood if i'm getting properly worked. as great as the suit is, that's almost a deal-breaker for me. my e-bomb was equally comfortable & flexible & didn't have the hood issue. you may see it up for sale here next fall. still undecided on that score.

Samesies. I got that ebomb for $249 on sale from $330 or something and I have been very warm during this bone chilling winter. The inside is this polyurimide/nylon/neoprene type stuff and dries very quickly. Other than a blue fish taking a bite out of mine this January, there are minimal weak points, the seals and e3 taped seams work really well. But im pretty sure their "taped" seams aren't as durable as a rubber glued seams painted over thread seams. But so far, so good

Is it the 2012 model, because I have the newest version that I just got last year and it is the youth 5/3 version with the thinner hood and the button zipper instead of the velcro zipper (on the older ones). Other than the hood, it is a very, very warm suit for its thickness and weight! Very suprised that the 3 mil. arms are still so warm! I use the 5/3 mutant all winter. Mostly because it is the only winter suit that I have.

I have an E-bomb. Best suit I have ever had. I am pretty sure its more flexible than my 3/2 which is a few years old. Ripcurl suits run a little small so try it on before purchasing.

i have a 4/3 Ebomb with a hooded vest and 5mm extremities. got me through all winter in nj. even when the water was 36 and 20 mph winds. dries out so fast its insanely cool. i can only imagine how good their better suits are. i have really good flexibility in mine to. no complaints and it makes my butt look good, which is always good for the ladies
