Hi guys, I lost the center fin for my board. They were future YU techflex and super sick. I'm sure many of you have lost 1 or 2 fins before. Do you sell what you have? Try to find 1 fin? Or bite the bullet and buy a new set? Any trade propositions or serious suggestions would be great. Thanks!
file a lost/damaged/stolen report with the company, send them the remaining two fins, and they will reimburse you with a new set of fins of equal or lesser value.
Thanks Kahuna. I figured. I surfed the rest of my trip with a center stock fin and did not like it at all. I can suffer the expenditure since it's for surfing. Gnargnarshredda I'll send you my fins +$5 and you take care of all the paperwork. Thanks bro
buy a new set, hang on to the remaining 2 fins as back ups in case it happens again. & always double check your grub screws.
Take one off of a board your not going to surf...it really doesnt matter what fins you have if you know how to surf
Surf twin or just use a different fin sometimes you might even be lucky enough to find one on the beach. My friend has a little collection of all the fins he's found along shore
I agree with what NJSurfer said. It always seems to be the toe side fin that I snap. I always save the other fins and then break the exact same fin again so I have to buy new ones. Never works out for me, but hey, worth a shot. I spend more money on fins than just about anything else surfing related, well except maybe gasoline.
You can find single fins on ebay, tho it would be tough to find the same model. I mix up my center fins often...tinker around and sometimes I like the odd ball fin in the center. Got a joe that I use am2 sometimes for outside and take one of my 3.75 quad trailer for the center...it was magical.
mrcoop beat me to it! Like he said, you can try Ebay or even Craigslist to see if you can find that particular fin or maybe one close to it. Another option would be to sell your other two and just by a whole new set. Option three..You can buy a single fin that doesn't necessarily have to match your original brand. Option four.... a lot of shapers shops have odds and ends lying around. Also they get a lot of promo stuff and experimental trials they don't end up using. Option five.... give the manufacturer a call or email, tell them your situation, I'm sure its not the first time this has happened and they maybe able to help you out.
