Theres probably way more spots that people have found since 2000. Especially people with an Albee Layer inspired mind.
Okee doke shredder gnarly guy stoney bud. Explain that to the po-po when he pulls you over and finds that lil bag of sticky-ick. A couple thousand later, you could knock that down to a misdemeanor. Trust me, man, I find it just as ridiculous as you. Everyong should be able to happily cultivate and partake. HOWEVER, in the eyes of the law, and employers interested in testing your pee, it's a drug. Sorry.
Freshman year in high school I took care of a friend that had a bad trip on ACID, so no thanks you can have that. My junior year one of my close female friends who was smoking hot started burning opium then graduated to sniffing heroin next thing you know she is booting up and looks like sH!T, and got kicked out of school, so that got ruled out. In college I watched a few of my close friends blow money they didn’t have (cashed credit card checks) on meth and pills, x mainly, party way too much and not graduate but got stuck with a mountain of credit card debt and student loans, again I’ll pass. I had my fair share of fun but just never wanted to go further than smoking a ton of weed and drinking many beers.
they call it batu on the north shore.i remember seeing old episodes of cops with meth heads on Oahu.as far as meth and surfing goes.... lol...well,id say the hardest charges were metheads and alcoholics.2 words.santa cruz u do crazy stuff when ur on drugs.like paddling out at mavs without skis and floatable vests.everyone in santa cruz was a big time meth addict.pete mel, skindog, flea, barney, ratboy,vc,adam reprogle.and those guys charged.but they cleaned up for the better.one of the first few mavs contest, jeff clark had everyone say something about themselves.flea said im flea and im an alcoholic. the thing is 20-30 yrs ago, during the party years,u give a young surfer a big check and they don't work or have any responsibilities so they party.some took it a little too far.archy and fletcher, the 2 pioneers of the aerial stuff did everything under the moon.fletcher beat tom curren at pipe on lsd,he won the lowers pro after smoking an oz of pot 2 hrs before the contest. like someone else said, its only a problem when u run out and that's the truth.i don't do drugs nor support them.i smoke a little reefer from time to time.i haven't drank in maybe 4-5 yrs,Il have 1 drink once in a blue moon, but as far as getting shytfaced I havnt done that in a long time. the one people I hate the most are coke heads.i happen to live with one and that's the reason I hate them.up 4 am,do a line and start leafblowing at 6 am.atleast junkies nod out and stay quiet.i don't like drunks either, and I come from a long line of alcoholics in the family.they say certain things are genetics, like if ur father was a drunk, youll be a drunk.well 10 of my 12 uncles and aunts are all alcoholics,my aunt recently died with a bottle of vodka by her side, she was in her 80s so she lived long,my grandpa died of sclerosis or whatever its called, the thing with the kidneys.
In the eyes of the law, the pills you take for pain, given to you by medical professionals, are also drugs. It is the prescription that gives you a free pass to use them. Opiates are so destructive to the body, while MJ is relatively harmless in comparison. Most scientists are all for MJ research, mostly in the field of medicine. My wife had knee surgery last year, and I watched her struggle with the side effects of prescribed pain pills. My friend gave her an edible and pain was gone without side effects. I think that is something worth researching, and it should be legal for medical use. Just one guy's opinion.
Weed. Ganja. Reefer. Trees. I haven't heard a single good reason, ever, not to legalize it. Colorado is killing it, brought in so many millions in revenue they don't know what to do with it. I was just out there and you know what? Life is absolutely normal. I didn't run anyone over in a drive through. I didn't become a bum. I didn't gain 40 pounds. Propaganda is just that. Oh yeah, did you hear they just agreed to release everyone previously arrested for it? Man, what will they do with that $30k/person they don't have to spend feeding, clothing, and buying him satellite tv? Anything harder, sure, protect people from themselves, I guess... I too would be blasting H if I lived in Jersey. I don't know about meth, only saw it being smoked once, and that was in a UVA frat house by a bunch of future lawyers. Crazy.
don't get me started on this topic. it's all about money, period. forget about the legality, and what do you have? something that has been stigmatized and demonized. you can't patent a medicinal herb. there's money in supplements, but not PHARMA F-U money. if you chemically synthesize something in a lab made from poisonous chemicals and get it through clinical trials without any significant safety concerns and show equivalent or superior efficacy over another treatment, you can slap a patent on it and make Billions. try convincing your pharma lobbyists about the benefits of researching the cannabinoid pathways...LOL. we are on the verge of some groundbreaking stuff regarding the cannabinoid pathways. people need to invest, research, and open up their minds. We're almost there. the Charlotte's web case, is just the tip of the iceberg.
surfing a drugs go together.. most of the big companies started by smuggling drugs in their boards back home from indo. its funny how people want to make surfing clean when it was never nor should it ever be. do what every the hell you want.. surf longboards surf short boards shoot heroin smoke bongs drink beer or water ... surfing is and should be about what you want
out of all the drugs iv seen and witnessed ppl doing them,i never seen or came across meth in nj or ny.I think that's a westcoast thing.i can see it being big in Hawaii since u can make it yourself.i had so many drugs offered to me for free as a teen, but I knew better than to try it.drugs are addictive for a reason.if u try it,u will definitely like it,so the point is to never try it.i had guns too, never thought hey lets go shoot someone.all the herion I grew up around was really crazy.i seen close friends go from sniffing coke to hey I cant get no coke so try this, dope.then they start shooting, and when u shoot drugs u hit rock bottom. I was on painkillers for my back, roxycodone 30 mg,i was taking 4 a day for 4 years.i never sniffed em,never abused em,never took more than my scheduled dose, and after 4 months,u basically take them to not be sick.i stopped surfing, couldnt hold a job,and I got to the point where I said I cant live like this and kicked cold turkey.i kicked last summer, and I couldn't sleep for about a month,id go in the pool at 2 am just to cool off.and I have a legit excuse for taking them,my back is seriously messed up.some days I cant breathe right because my spine puts pressure on my lungs,if I coughed hard I probably would've ruptured a disk. that's why when they say legalize all drugs, and the neocons and fox newsers are like why so my kids can go score herion or meth from the store?just because somethings available doesn't mean u are going to try it.i can go to any dr any day of the week with my mris and xrays and get a new script,i choose not to.everything is based off the drug system.gov agencies, rehab clinics, prisons, etc.if u legalize drugs,u just wiped out a million jobs and let the prisoners free so the rich cant make their money from the people incarcerated. this thread is going to last longer than the "what should I do with my life" thread lol.good thread, lots to talk about
^ i agree with you, i mean if drugs were legal i wouldnt take it, even weed. rather people get it from a store then some shady drug dealer off the street. the police are the worst trying to catch people that have problems and make them even poorer. city, state, county, highway, federal police. why does one city have 5 different policeman types in it? doesnt that seem over kill?
I'm from Ocean county too and it is unbelievably bad there. I'm a heroin addict too but I moved away and got clean about a year ago. Sucks living in a place where all your friends and almost everybody you know does opiates in some form or another. I gotta admit though, the natural high of surfing is multiplied when on drugs. Not advocating it to anyone but the times i felt like i had the best sessions it was from being high and pulling into a barrel or just even having a mediocre session felt epic on dope. I have good sessions now and i still love it but i know why drugs tend to go hand in hand with surfing. That natural high on top of the chemical high is just nuts.
It's a real shame. I was skating the other day and met a guy who's an avid surfer and rides with many of the local jersey pros including h@mmer... This guy was not in the right state of mind. Up his nose and the surrounding area was all orange. He was on something due to his insanity & extreme hyperness but not sure what. But I find it a real shame that these guys find a stronger addiction than surfing :/
