I think it would be very awkward to meet the people on here.i wouldn't be surprised if some of u are my surfing buddies that stay quiet when ur in person.its like asking to meet the phone sex lady,u shouldn't do it

i've met a handful of people through here out in the water. the main friends i surf with though don't post here though which is sort of a bummer.

im curious to know how u would find the identity of a fellow swello while surfing.how does that come up in conversation?i seen mattyb and doug met,and im curious to how that happened.sure u can meet plenty of surfers in the water, but how do u find out their online name.i wouldn't walk up to the first surfer I see in Belmar and say hey are u ihatelongboards.I can see some hints while speaking to someone might give up their identity.im sure if u bumped into pjb in the water, youd say hows ur day,and hed respond with 5 minutes of non stop crazy talk lol.im in northern jersey,im sure I bumped into some of u in the water before.we can surf together and be friendly, but online we are archnemisis lol

dudes id be the gnarliest man to meet on here, you can find my identity by the ak47 shaped logo sponsor on my carolina carver sb as well as a dixie flag. you wouldnt even be able to comprehend my cutbacks as they cut the wave in half better than the mason dixon line divided the country.

Wow! I always thought that was a cow on your surfboard!

One time , at band camp, I asked a fellow surfer if they participated in swellinfo.com forums-and they just laughed at me....

I didn't find out it was Doug from SI till after he posted a thread about us having a chat. When I realized it was The Doug my head exploded.

i used to live in florida for a few years. was in the water talking to a few guys about the forecast from SI and two of the guys in the lineup said they posted here. i can't for the life of me remember their handles but Jesse and Mike, whats up if you're still on here.

yea that would be pretty cool or terrible depending on the situation.like if someone dropped in on u,then came on here and started a thread about how I allegedly "didn't " drop in on the dude, and im the dude and its like hey u dropped in on me douchebag lol,now I know how u are.

but if its friendly its all good.i met a few different people over the years that I never ran into again that id like to surf with again.idk its one thing to bump into the same guy everytime u surf and ur cool, but if u met a good surfer u don't really want to come out the water and be like can I have ur number.seems weird lol, maybe that's why I don't have many surfer friends
