Hey SI crew. Check out my web page and like me on face book. www.hwsblanks.com Members who message me through this forum and inform me of their real identity on my Facebook page will be entered to receive some free blanks because I'm nice. You need to tell me who you posts as on SI. IM NOT biased. I want to give Yankee and carter a blank.

I'm a professional wood worker and yes I have a big cnc machine as of recent. This is no joke, I want to give some stuff out, plus I wanna hear all the negative feed back this world can give me. image.jpg image.jpg

I offer the most fully inclusive kit blank and also these hollow blanks get sealed with easy alternatives like polymerized tung oils. Or u can resin coat.

I'm a start up so literature and YouTube Channel is not up yet. However I want to reach out to my beloved swell info boys and girls.

Peace, I love you all very much.

This is sealed with oil only. Pressure tested and does not leak. 5 coats of watco oil then sanded to 600 to seal the pores. 15 lbs . Next blanks will be chambered a bit more and will be lighter. Hardware is pre installed into these blanks too so it's honestly the easiest shaping experience on the market.

Yeah the furniture business is in the same building as hws blanks. We're basically using all the furniture machinery to create this blanks company. It just made sense to me because I already have amazing cedar suppliers so I'm following my gut and getting into the wooden surf products niche

Good luck with venture. It's a good idea.
What wood are you using to make the blanks?
I'm about 1/2 way thru my first chambered board. I've a lot of time and effort into it and I'm not even at the stage of your blanks yet.

So we pre chamber the stringers prior to any gluing. The glue must be epoxy too. This allows for a very well glued hollow blank thus eliminating the need to use resin. After I shaped it up and oiled it I look around real closely to find any tiny holes and stuff mr zoggs in. It's so easy and natural. Please like us on Facebook hwsblanks.com

Get yer fully inclusive wooden sculpture shaping kits today kids. U can draw on these blanks too with oil based pencils then oil over it to seal. This is the easiest and most practical shaping experience fact.

Thanks Cal, the blanks are constructed from chambered stringers that are cut directly from cedar 2x8 or 2x4 depending on the component template. We glue the component parts in jigs using WEST system epoxy with added WEST fillers to make the epoxy more like a mayonnaise consistency. The wood and the epoxy glue up makes these blanks solid and enables the wood to be the pressure capsule versus laminated cloths and resins. We let the wood do the work. After waterproofing the wood the board holds pressure very well and it repels water because of the oil. I have had no leaking problems yet, but like any surfboard maintenance is key. and A flooded HWS is not a dead HWS , just open the vent, allow it to drain and dry, then look for entry h20 point and smear some wood glue in, I've filleted with surf wax with phenomenal results. Its soo Natural! Cedar is also so good for this natural approach, cedar is the best i think, not the lightest but such a stable and resilient material.

HWS Blanks strives to enhance watermen ethics by teaching how to shape and maintain your beautiful natural chambered board. Its affordable too. we will be up on youtube soon!

Were all about High Tech with a Soft Touch.

post some pics of your chambered blank on this thread id love to see :)
