I don't know much bout the fat people topics but wahines in general fall under valid surf forum topics.
Stoked that one of my favorite terms made it into such a thought out statement. Don't forget about the pussification of surfing, or is that going on in another thread?
My wife is 5' nothing and 350 lbs. It's easier to jump over than go around her. On the plus side, she's got somethin to hold on to so she don't buck me off.
Becoming overweight and the increasing occurrence of obesity are not gender specific. I'm not trying to be pontifical here, just sharing from my half century or so of experience - both mistakes and a few successes. The older you get, the harder it becomes and the more time and effort that are required to stay in shape. So take care of yourself while you're young. You may not see the benefits now when one seemingly can get away with treating the body and mind like crap, but it will pay dividends when you're older. Keep active and exercise both the body and mind. Nowadays, physical activity isn't as easy to maintain with the increase in sedentary/desk-bound jobs. Expand and improve your knowledge, continue to learn new skills. Develop an effective way to deal with stress to reduce anger and anxiety. I see and hear a lot of angry people out there - me too sometimes. Life isn't "fair". That's just the way it is. There should be much to be grateful for. It's not as if we live in North Korea or some north African hell-hole. Also be aware that continued drug and alcohol abuse greatly accelerates the aging/deterioration process: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...743C0077086E857C9070EC20A19FA&selectedIndex=1 I'll get down from my soap box.
I'm not small 6'1" 187 - 200lbs depending on the year, not overly fat kinda thick/muscular. My wife on the other hand is 5'1" 105lbs (48 years old). It helps that she has a physically demanding job. She's a forester and several times a week is hiking up and down mountains for 8 hours or more a day. Even with all my surfing every time I have gone into the woods to help I'm crying for mercy after the first hour, totally exhausted. Point is women don't have to go bad they just have to realize they can't eat everything in sight and have to friggin exercise.
