Chunky in VB but I've had fun. Last night was the biggest I've seen it in a while. No one wants to join me and I am sick of solo sesh. Anyone want to surf in an hour? HMU
niiice..so the jetty sorted some of the wind and drift out for ya? i was contemplating going to EI...but opted to have a SI forum fest and plant the rest of my garden instead. good on ya mate
Actually, today probably qualifies as EPIC for garden planting. The wife and I did some maintenance on ours last week but looks like we're not going to get planting until next week. Seriously, I'm envious. Hopefully it stays as short period as it has 'cause Mase is pretty much going to be the only call locally for the next few days. It was somewhat crowded this morning but EVERYONE was getting waves, I saw no hassling and the only drop-in I saw was two friends messing around for the comedy of it... peaks everywhere... damn, maybe it was epic?
How can 6ft at 11s from optimal swell angle result in complete disorganized chop when wind is onshore at 5mph? Does two days of sustained stronger onshores really put secondary windswell chop in the mi where a primary swell that good can to to schitt? Drive to two breaks and didn't even paddle out. Good thing we brought the skates and hit the park after for bowls. Damn Bruh. The AM sesh best offer up some stoke.
Can't even sleep Bruh. Set to charge at 7am in offshores and decent swell but too hungry from not scoring yesterday. How's a man to lay down when he just wants to layback? Hope all you cats get on something good today.
With all the wind and chop this past week, I'm glad you got something or at least had fun out there. Monday afternoon was my last time out. Windy, disorganized, and nothing much ride-worthy; but it was nice being in the water and getting a bit of a workout. I have a tough time going back to a gym anymore. Much prefer to be outdoors getting my exercise - surfing or not. Water temps have dropped about 7 degrees during the past week. Looks like things might clean up a bit next Tuesday. Will just have to wait and see. Unfortunately, I'll be up in DC but will surely be thinking about it. Got up earlier this morning in hopes of gettin' some, but wimped out, I guess. A solo session in slop wasn't enticing enough. Although web cams can be deceiving.
http://911surfreport.com/2014/04/19/jacksonville-surf-reportsaturday-34/ I'll take waves like this any day. So fun this mornin
Sorry to hear about that. I do the "sting ray shuffle" when wading in and out but still figure it's just a matter of time before it happens to me. Rays concern me more than sharks.
great to hear! im looking for some swell that's not blown out tomorrow and monday. might get down to holden or up to Surf City if the winds cooperate... ohh the search for a clean face!
damn...was just talking about stingrays (& steve irwin) at dinner last night w/ the family. how long will you be out of the water?
well that's good, at least. minor miracles, i suppose. LMAO! that's brutal, man. hope your couch is comfy...
wow man what a puss man up you didnt even get stung that hard, damn west coast boys need to soldier up for Christs sake.
I've been brutally attacked by rays on both east and west cost. West hurt way, more. The one and only time that I passed out from pain.i feel for you. all I can say is s#ck it up butter cup. Surf soon and peace.
