I'm looking for some advice on a trip to Costa Rica or Nicaragua. The lady and I are looking to go in September or October. She's not much of a surfer, but I'm looking to surf all the time while I'm there. See the criteria below and if anyone knows of some good spots I'd really appreciate the insight. My uncle in law is a life-long surfer, and married a Costa Rican woman years ago (he's very wise). They have a house in Nosara, CR on Playa Guiones. We're going for the first time next winter. Cannot wait. Anyway, check out that area. Jet Blue flies into Nosara, and I know from Boston it's less than $500 per ticket. I believe there are three excellent beach breaks in Nosara (Guiones, Pelada, Nosara). A good hotel room is about $100/night or so.
