I have to vent about this beach "replenishment" BS that is going on in Monmouth and Ocean counties. It's a useless waste of tax dollars. It's a fact that sea levels are rising and there is nothing we as humans can do that will make the ocean "retreat", short of reversing decades of damage done to the environment... If they are going to blow this kind of money on something that is going be to wiped away in a storm or two, they should at least spring for some real sand. The BS they are filling with is dirt. Real dirt. Like construction site dirt. It's orange and cakes on your feet like mud. It's disgusting. I can't wait to see how the tourist like frolicking in a effin mud puddle this year.
