fun chest high, mellow, some insiders. small crowd, havent worn gloves in a few weeks thats a plus. Need a 4/3 though still wearing a 5mil with hood sucks
this was my view walking down the beach, first thing I saw snapped a pic with my phone.notice how uncrowded it is lol
Im beat....Thursday from 3p.m. to dark really good but two hours before dark after the storm passed, offshore winds, shoulder to head high perfection and to top it all off maybe 20 locales in the water, today went out first light, round two, perfect shoulder high waves by 8:00 am 150 people in the water...lol...the zoo, I surfed till 12:00 still got my fill of waves...DPS, PM me maybe we can all hook up in the a.m.
Nice logic. It's wrong. You absolutely should not draw unnecessary attention to any spot when it's good, regardless of cams. It's not about secrets, it's about adding to an already crowded spot. No one wants or needs that. You don't live anywhere near there or even surf there, yet you're blowing it up on the WORLD WIDE WEB when it's good. That is ignorance and dueshbaggery at it's finest and you don't even have a clue because you're an inexperienced kid. Saying NJ looks fun today is fine. Saying what you said on the WORLD WIDE WEB, plus a link, is dildo. Is it that hard to conceptualize how you would feel about it if you lived or surfed there on the reg? Surfing is NOT a more the merrier sport! Learn it. Live it. I'm defending a spot I rarely surf, btw, because, unlike you, I have the capacity to consider my fellow surfers, worldwide. Please stop being squirrel barf, and dueshing an array of surfers you don't even know. Thank you in advance for your future cooperation, Doug
Dude... Shut up already. It's manasquan. It's packed. If ur good you'll get waves. Apparently you struggle. Blowing up a secret sandbar is one thing. Manasquan is another.
How was Wildwood today? Pumping? Lol. Pipeline is packed. Getting on the WWW and saying it's good, when it's good, is righteous? Think about what I'm saying instead of trying to be cool. I'm trying to help people out, and that could include you, RI, Squan locals, Pipe locals, and whoever on both sides of this type of situation. If you were good, you would get it. Apparently you hate learning. Now, go clean your sheets.
Sorry dougie. Still don't get it. My go to spot, Avalon, oh my god can't believe i said it, is always packed. Doesn't affect me. Your examples are pipeline and squan. Two super crowded breaks. Get over it and yourself. And let's be honest, wildwood never pumps anything but ur moms. Go surf ur secret spot up there in the real jersey shore. Nite nite.
You want a list of 1000 spots, worldwide and then you'll get it? Brilliant. Shut up already. I told you to go clean your sheets.
Hey everyone, all spots in MA/NH/ME/RI for the next 6 days show this as a forecast: FLAT. What does that mean - that it's gonna be flat out bombing surf? The title of this tread talks about 14 seconds. I'd give anything for even half that height (1.5ft) at 11 seconds. Our futile EMass breaks can't handle things in 14s. All the dope sessions this spring have been at 11 seconds. 11. 11's the number. 11 little chipmunks twirling on a branch, Bill Cosby's Nephew's gone feral at his uncle's ranch. Grommet, make a mental note to undiscover social media as long as you have this affinity for bullhorning firing breaks round the EC. That doesn't work anyway. If you're stoked on a swell and feel the imperative to alert the wee grom brahs, connect two solo cups with a length of yarn. Better siggy than ElShred's i6.
It's not that simple brodiwon (trademarked). For example, a 13 second period swell straight out of the east will close out va beach, there's almost zero chance it will be rideable anywhere. Down further south where there are huge sandbars way outside and deep deep cuts to the inside, yeah it's possible but even then it's going to be closing out most places. But this little 3 footer at 13 second south angled swell we just had was not closing out va beach. There were even some sets that came in like they were hitting a point. They were straight out of the south, and the peak would be breaking where the shoulder right next to it was almost flat. Perfect for a longboard, and some of them peeled forever. Not great for shortboarding or bodyboarding though. Of course the longer the period the more the swell will wrap into the coastline, but it's not as simple as oh this period is better than that. I will say 7-8 feet at 10-11 seconds out of the northeast or southeast with a good offshore breeze is about as good as it gets, barrel city, but that doesn't mean other conditions can't work out. On the big groundswell days when it's lined up correctly and the winds are ideal, those can be the throatiest longest barrels you can get on the east coast it just doesn't line up very often.
Thanks for the dissertation, Mr. Wizard. Note I was talking about EMass which is hundreds of miles from VB. The post was largely composed with Tom Foolery and had several inside jokes bro. All your VB waves can be firing simultaneously on the reg and they'll still be blown out with rampant kookdom. Thanks for learning me good braw, but you missed a few laughs in the midst of your topographical trigcalculus. Happy Saturday from the Spicoli Fam!
Sorry I missed your post dude, I was at my usual spots all weekend. Didn't have to paddle battle too much, got a little crowded at one point but had enough room to work for the most part. Had some REALLY good rides, hope you got yours!
Yea bro I got mine...it happened again Saturday. ..round three...got to the water a little late, around 2:00 , it was pretty crowded but really fun surf, stomach to shoulder and clean...storm came up again, lightning and thunder everyone left the beach and left me and a dozen or so other guy's with perfect waves again....must be doing something right. Kudos to Mr Swellinfo, their forecasting was spot on this past weekend.
Right on! I hit it at sunrise till about 11am Saturday and again around 3pm - 6:30pm at a certain rock / reef spot that was lighting up nicely. It was less crowded after the thunderstorm rolled through in the afternoon like you said. Definitely kudos to SI for the forecast, was spot on!
