Took the carver on the boardwalk this morning. There was actually a very little wave today, knee maybe waist and clean...should of went out with my groveler instead...even when forecasts says flat, there is always a slight chance of something to ride.

Guess we're getting a brief recoil from one of the best winters of all time. Nature seeks balance in all things so it seems. Time to train and focus on work for a bit. If anyone wants to join, I'll be spearfishing and hauling boulders on the ocean floor at Rockaway.

Bruh obviously I'm attacking the pave and crete with my signature fervor in this stillwater phase. Friday night things got clinical at the park and the laybacks were upped to a whole new level of style and form. Matter of fact you know me all too well and I took a few minutes to arrange my boardie drawers by brand and outseam length as well as wrenching on the rig a bit too.

Glad you been scaling rock walls, dope workout. I just started some circuit lifts again the last week for kicks and that keeps things on point. Just don't want to put on any unneeded weight even if it's lean as it'll only be harder to throw around on the board.

Interested to see if SI becomes a hate-a-thion this week as the forum will be in the midst of its menses with the flat. Things have been relatively harmonious as of late here.

    A bit TOO harmonius, compadre.

So, "wrenching on the rig".....is that perhaps new parlance for handcuffing the gf to the bedposts & pretending she's your shortboard?

(this is a joke, new fools, I happen to have made my peace with The Spicoli many moons ago)

Fished hard for two hours today... skunked. Threw everything in the box. Even the bait guys got nothing. I did find two skates in a tide pool... and thought bout it for a second.

put 4 miles in on my prone paddleboard this afternoon...pretty technical & difficult, despite the short distance, w/ the wind & tide being against me at different parts of the paddle. looks like this week could be a good one to put some miles in...

My lair is sans bedposts brah. It's one of those sleigh beds (aka slay beds). The lack of fasteners available is something I'm fully aware of and we may need to remedy that by drilling eyebolts into the wall studs. That's on the funny-do list for the next flat spell.

You guys should shape yourselves a board. Way more gratifying, and gets you in-tune with your equipment.

Yeah, I got skunked last time I went out a few weeks ago at Dolphin Head Point... The guys that took me there has like 12 poles, looked like we were a pro fishing crew. They are telling me tales of Cobia, Shark and everything else. 6 hours later, we walked back to the truck with NADA... I think I got a few bites from a blacktip, cause he took the hook twice....

Usually I am at least good for catching like 20 stingrays and spending most of my times wrestling them back off my line trying to avoid getting tagged, as they just fire that tail around the whole time.

K, since it's flat, Im gonna ask. Down here in SC and Florida. There are tons of lakes. The wakeboarding capital of the world is central Florida, no?

So here is my silly question. MOST lakes round' these parts got gators in em'.... So what do you wakeboarding guys do about that? My buddy who lived in JAX for a few years said that when you fall, you will see gators slide off the banks and into the water in response to the sound of your body entering the water. I have also heard that gators can't bite underwater....

So what's the deal? how can so many people enter these lakes, that are filled with gators on the regular and you never hear of any attacks or incidents... I mean, you hear about sharks in the surf community, but no gator talk from the wakers...

Can a wakeboarder please explain this to me? As, I love to wakeboard, but have only done so in San Diego and in Maryland, two places that are gatorless.
