I just started bodyboarding last summer (besides kids stuff)

I went out last tuesday here in LI when we got that big swell. I never noticed my problem until i was riding these big waves. I keep sliding down the wave, but to the way that i am riding, and then end up labout 5 feet in front of the wave and i have to turn back to start riding the face

    what am i doing wrong?

Bro you need to bottom turn or not go straight down... start on an angle and drop in a little later... or if you want to go straight you need to learn how to bottom turn and trim back up the face of the wave...

A great way to learn is to watch dvds.

Concentrate on how the pro's are positioning themselves on the boards. A popular beginners issue is they sit too far back on the board.
