ppl seem to like them from what ive heard. i saw a lot of them pop up on craigslist after the hype but they were relatively longer boards for what they prob should be so they may have been sized wrong for the ppl. what are you looking for in a board like a 1 board quiver type board? no direct experience with one but ive surfed a g wilson tricuspid which is sorta similar idea but maybe a little more volume on the h. k. id size it down pretty good even from what you may think is what you need with that volume esp w an epoxy board bc otherwise you wont be able to sink the rails unless they are super sharp or stepped but i dont recall them having that. although the round pin helps that out
don't own one and never tried one but i do know that their owners seem to like them and that the surfers i know that ride them seem to surf better and they seem to go well according to me the casual observer.
Thanks for the info. Yes. looking for one board quiver type. Something I can take out in the regular mush but ok for some head high stuff. They make it poly/epoxy with the stringer or you can get the carbon rail model. Any body hear of these carbon rail boards breaking more than usual? I did. Don't know if that's true. Thanks again guys.
I just bought a future flex shred sled and love it. The board is really quite strong. I put a big pressure ding on the front with my knee where I feel if I would have been riding a poly, it would be in the shop right now for repairs. I did not think I was going to be as big of a fan, but I am definitely a hayden ff supporter now. I will probably end up getting a hypto as well. The hypto's design is so nice.
i have 2 haydens and i love them. don't be afraid to go small. they have tons of float, so much so its almost surprising. avoid the longer lengths because it tends to draw out the rail and makes the board less effective. pull the trigger. you won't regret it.
Have had a few shred sleds (customs) and a GSI hypto--all in future flex. Hypto is a very user friendly board--easily a one quiver board. I'm about 165 and 510 and own the 5'6". At 28+ liters...great board with plenty of float...
Nah bro. The Hypto Crypto is the first FutureFlex model... But there are newer and better models. One of them is the 7S superfish 2. I have that board and it's awesome.
