And I am standing behind the couch that is in there taking the picture. So there is some seating. I do plan on building some work space around the back and right hand side and move some boards and have it about bar seating level. I want to ditch the couch and have only bar stool seating around the perimeter.
So take a picture of that and label it "man cave". Then retitle your thread "metro burrow". I don't see anything that would indicate that room belongs to a male rather than a female.
I have one short, the rest are standard 21oz, around 58" cues. If you have a straight side shot, it does create a need for the shorty, but I also just try and setup my next shots accordingly. I hate the shorty, but its a necessity. Most other side shots can be accomplished with some elevation in the cue. I was on the fence about putting a table in there, but the thing went from $650 to under $200 right after christmas time, so I had to pull the trigger. I have a lot of room on my back patio which has an overhang, but I was worried about the table deteriorating too quickly outside, even if it wasn't getting direct rain. Nothing like walking out back and finding squirrels mating on your pool table.
Yeah, for many years, I spent a lot of time out at the bars playing. Times have changed and I have only had the opportunity to play a few times a year really as of late. It's nice being able to play again. I used to really only frequent watering holes that had tables. Haven't been able to get out much in the past couple years. I also thought about taking the shelving unit over on the left out, but it is filled with my hurricane shutters, so it really has to stay. Would have got me a little more wiggle room in there.
I'm really shocked only two people had cave photos to contribute. As I stated before, mine has a long way to go and I have some restrictions are far as dangerous objects being displayed out in the open... But after spending 45 hours a week in a fabrication room and a wood shop, I like to relax and spend time in a room filled with surfboards, fishing rods, liquor, a pool table and a flat screen TV. I am kinda of a sports junkie. I have a ways to go, but the point of this thread was to see other peoples spaces and see if that could spark some creativity for my own space. I was expecting to see some pics of guys with shaping bays and all kinds of stuff. The other two photo posts were both epic in their own way....
mine got flooded in sandy. I'm just about finished redoing it... but its more of a tv cave with a small office and some storage closets.... not designed to do any woodworking or **** like that. I guess that's what my garage is for.
That sucks. Glad to hear your almost back up and running. Yeah, I use my woodshop for carpentry. Seems like the logical thing to do.
So the only one agreeing with me that this isn't a man cave is a a sponger. smh Regardless, i do like his reference to a "hipster hideout" but i'll just call it your "little boy cave".
It's all good bro. Call it what you want. Although there is entire shelf of liquor and no video games, but I get your point... So, here is my actual wood shop, I mean "man cave".... Does that make me a big boy? Just not when I am playing pool and relaxing?
Let's get some more photos going, this thread started with "if you have one, lets see it".... And I'm not sure of the hipster reference... Metard, can you please turn my garage into a "hipster hideout"... I am sure you can photoshop some novels, PBJ cans and posters of bands that no one has heard of? I know that Hipsters love watching NBA, surfing and playing pool, because for sure, that is the stereotype...
