No. Waves were pretty good yesterday in RI tho. Chest high and thumping on the sand. Shorebreak closeouts basically but nice to feel some size and power finally. I think the forecast was a little off. It said it was only gonna be waist high.

Had some fun ones yesterday on Long Island. Morning was glassy with 2-3 footers. Around noon, tide was going back down and got some bigger ones rolling through, they were mushy but still peelin. Lots of fun and the sun was out!

Yeah, it was an undercall this weekend down here too, but man, there is nothing I like more than an east coast undercall. All in all, I should have ridden my fish yesterday, but since i have the new toy, it was super fun taking the LB out in some punchy, hollow surf... definitely found the sweet spot and got dialed into the early, backdoor takeoffs to avoid impending doom in the 1.5 feet of water I was dropping into.

If it said it was gonna be 3-5 feet and I showed up and it was 8-10, I would be like, WTF man... But it felt more like christmas... I had that giddy feeling... I had to post up at a different beach, cause my wife had family in town, so we went to the beach in front of their resort. After lugging coolers, and chairs and boards and all this, everyone is chilling in their chairs. We all crack a beer and Im looking at my buddy like, you better chug that sh** homie, cause its about to be high tide and we are staring at set after magnificent set... Im not going to sit here and "relax" until we handle this business, ya heard?

    I freaking LOVE undercalls =)

And I chalk it up to the wind just never backing off. It was relentless all night and into the morning, so the buoys just keep lifting all day.

Today on long island was amazing. Love days like today. SI was pretty spot on with the swell. Winds were light onshore, forecast said 10-15. It was no more then 5. I'm guessing the "red" or "choppy" forecast kept people away and I'm not complaining! Just me and a few local buddies out. Slightly textured chest high waves, connect a big sweeping bottom turn (on a 9'0) with a nice top turn, wave would get soft just for a second then would wall up and just race down the line with so much speed. Such long waves. And I like when it's onshore and has a bit of size to it, I don't care what color you label today as, it was GOOD. I hope everyone else got something today. Shark hunter gets banned and great waves, things are getting back to the way it should be. What a day

North Jersey outclasses the south land once again. Gawd, I hate North Jersey

YANKEE, do a little research and discover, ala Ponce de Leon, who I be.

I need better material ? Dude, I was 2013 Swellie nominated and a winner in multiple categories. But don't fret "New Yankee" - yes, you seem different, like ZAGAFFER"S mentally challenged cousin - I will be only making a brief appearance here, as I only really came to do some research.

(Side note: Spicoli, I'm still waiting for my trophies from the Swellies.)

New Yankee, it is funny that you call others' trolls. I did some statistical analysis last night and came to conclude that 96.4% of your posts are derogatory in nature - usually you scoping around looking for your "targets," where you swoop-in and give them the business. So, you know, that's like the kettle calling the pot African American. Ya know what is that I be sayin'?

Now looky here, I am not being a wise arse here, as I am guilty myself.

But why is it that people always want to share the fact that they surfed on a particular day?

"Hey, I was out there today."

It's like some ego thing, right? Or some kind of being included in the band?

Then, on threads like this, people get upset if you go off topic. Why? It was a decent east coast swell, no biggie.

No one's telling any great exciting stories of their sessions. It's just, " Yeah it was 3 foot in OC.........5 foot at Long Branch......."

If you are so hyped on sticking to the events of this swell - well give us an interesting story. Jesus, people on here don't even lie aboot the air they blasted at South Carolina Ave.

Oh, I don't know. Of course some misunderstanding types will probably get upset and start ranting. But, oh well. I'm a semi-retired surf predictin' internet site poster these days, so it's all butter to me.

F I have to quit my job.

I've said it before, Real surfers don't work. It so gets in the way of getting bubbed.

I've foresaken myself. Ahh, I'm just saving money so I can go to the Pacific Northwest and become a magical fairy, with mushrooms and "green corn."

But damn I get jealous I hate missing waves.

So Last night the wind went straight west at around 530 pm when the line of wx pushed through. It was the best surf I caught all year. Don't be hating on the East swells even if they close out a little. Epic The whole swell was wayyyyy undercalled where I live!!
