HELLO pretty new to the atlantic (a winter on LBI), newer to monmouth county now and exploring my way around the spots for the last month or so. there's been some delightful reading in this forum since I found this, so i'm jumping in with an account. it helps tremendously on getting through a kooky work where there's no one to talk surf with. so thanks for that bruddas.
welcome to the site in accordance with rule #1 you need to post a pic of you surfing , selfie, girlfriend and or wife pic, etc

intended to practice good etiquette by saying hello... but not going to try to limit a first/only thread.
we hate newbies, its a jersey thing. rule numero uno-no surfing between 5 am and 10 pm rule dos-if u plan to surf in Monmouth county, head further south to ocean county, they are much friendlier and share waves with 10 guys rule tres-in order to fit in amongst the monmouthers,u must either smoke everyone out,or bring lots of liquor.bbqs are always welcome rule quatro - in order to become a legit Monmouth surfer, drop out of school, quit ur job, bleach your hair, grow an al queda beard, wear yellow trunks with a pink gini t,purchase a Malibu surfboard, get a sponge for the epic days, and don't pick up your trash welcome to the garbage state
rule cinco: man rolls up in a white van, claims to be from SI Forum, tells you he has free surf gear for you, that special you, just jump on in.............run like stink on sheep & keep running until you hear the sirens.....
With the water getting warmer, I was wondering where I could pick up up a swimsuit like the one you have on.
