looking at my most traveled spot right now...there are about an average of 2-3 spots where the wave rolls up...the tide is outgoing (very poor for this spot - just about everything gets held up when it's draining), waves knee high at best, and there are 20+ lined up waiting for the ride of the week. rouuugghh. not gonna lie though, if i could be out there, or coulda been out there today (when there were some thigh high sets) i woulda... but everything i see for the next week is under knees

anybody here study language, culture, and civilization at and advanced level and can speak to this? ultimately it seems to me that (as an extremely casual observer that generally lives in a 6 mile radial bubble) that "american" culture as "you knew it" is gradually dieing...or in the way i choose to view it, evolving. this evolution has its roots in language. and the evolution, or potential for evolution, has its roots in the constitution. most of the language in the document is specifically vague for a purpose - in order to be interpreted and defined in any time, era, or context (those guys were geniuses). now i don't believe this case goes back directly to the constitution, but i do think everything "good" in this country (whether you philosophically, ideologically, or politically agree or not) can be traced back to that document. gringos, the country as you new it is pretty much dead. evolve or die with it (literally, metaphorically, or metaphysically). sorry, about the rant, just don't agree with this this is this and that is that demeanor that seems to be infringing upon a lot of these posts. i just don't get that mentality. if something bothers someone, who are you to say that it doesn't? if you rely solely on the invented concept that, "this is the way we always have done it, so it is good", that is really weak. don't get me wrong, i do believe in the constitution and the bill of rights so i do believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. but when it could be construed as a bigoted or racist opinion, you better have something better than, "that's the way it always was". if that was the case we'd all still be picking gnats off each other's heads sitting in a cave and unsuccessfully rubbing two sticks together........or, god would have never killed the dinosaurs (insert sarcastic tone here). but back to my original point, just because we as a society may have evolved to a point to (thoughtfully? i'll address this in a minute) and numerically address this issue and learn how to empathize with another culture, why is that bad? i just don't get that it would be. on the other hand (and this is what i alluded to above) everything is because of money. every governed decision made philosophically, ideologically, or politically can be traced back to monetary influence. you just have to decide which one of the sides you disagree with less..... back to music - atdi '99 buffalo second best concert i ever saw
Downtown LA is the soul graveyard where ya gotta be hard or get jacked I've been surfing everyday... Ima start a business. I will rent out guns in the summertime. You can use them on yourself when you can't take the flatness. The mop and bucket to clean up the mess is extra except after 3 on Tuesdays. Fact: it's not a wave unless it's at least 4 feet at 13 seconds...that's the most. Consistent east coast wave Dixie Normis
