My buddy's been riding one for like 3 or 4 years. its a 7'2" epoxy and he likes it very much, but he's a little guy, only like 138 lbs or something. Its taken a beating and held up pretty good. But a few years of use, its got quite a few pressure dings on the deck. You can see the stringer in the middle raised up a bit. Pretty decent I suppose. I'll ask him more about it if you want.

Check out www.dolsey.com and you will find a selection of chinese-made stuff.

They are pretty crappy boards. I bought an epoxy becuase it was a good price and snapped it in half the very first time I took it out. Lukily I the shop I bought it from gave me my money back because I came back in the the same day I bought the board, but I would avoid them if you could.

I picked one up once... sold it 2 weeks later. For being so crappy, they're rather heavy too. It's Chinese made garbage whose main outlet for selling new boards is eBay. That should tell you something right there.

Just found a Mike Dolsey abandoned on the beach at dawn with a big crack in the deck and partially exposed stringer. This is no ordinary board, it is worthless. Thanks guys!

The glass is weak. They aren't good. Some of them are asymmetrical, like not in a cool way. Was told years ago he was an east coast shaper, east coast of Asia?

He has a warehouse somewhere in Norfolk I believe. Maybe it's the crack making his boards all lopsided.

I just purchased an 6'8 Epoxy Fish. It seems durable, I banged it on the top of my garage this morning and not a scratch. It is a very responsive fish, now that I have it dialed. According to his web site the fish is Epoxy glass over an EPS core. I emailed him asking where his boards are made he replied... that was nice. The answer is he imports from Asia. I assume China since it seems most manufactures get there materials from there.

Not much has changed in the last 12 years since this thread was started when it comes to Dolsey boards:

Still made in China, still garbage. They are fake surfboards. Toys, at absolute best.

If someone gave me one for free I would use it for target practice.
