It's all schitts and giggles til someone giggles and schitts. Bro, since this flat season is hopefully done with (see the hype in that statement?), next flat season that comes along you and I can make an afternoon of ding repair and pump through a case of Yuengling as I chronicle a few of my escapades. I've seen it all at this point. There are A LOT of mental illnesses out there in the female species and the incidence of such is much higher the higher they score on the Southern scale of hotness. Quick example...had to pull the "I'll be right back" only to not return when I was in Bama in June after surfing Gulf Shores. Thing is, we weren't at a restaurant, we were at her crib. It was pre-gymnastics too, I'd seen enough of her crazy. Good thing it was in the mountainous suburbs of Birmingham and I was parked in her driveway which faced uphill. Popped the rental in neutral, roller er down the driveway into the street, then started the engine so I'd have a lead and be up to speed in case wahine heard the ignition and ran maniacally out the house after me... Back to the regular scheduled programming. FREE STOKE ACROSS THE EASTERN SEABOARD THIS WEEK THANKS TO HURRICANE BERTHA OF BelMar
Just got back. Raining. Little shifty, building. Wind got on it bad at the end. But fun, fun, fun, fun, fun. Chest, lumpy and textured, but there were little ramps throughout. Worth every second though. I bet you Northern SC and Southern NC are going to be fun after work tonight. Good luck.... get it if you can.
best get out of work excuse I heard, lol, hey boss I been in a terrible plane accident and im a vedgetable.see u tomorrow.. works everytime. im used to missing swells.seems like Wednesday its gonna stick around throughout the day so hopefully after work I can score some.just ordered one of those 6'0 catch surf boards that's foamy, would love to use it for this swell but it probably wont be here by then.im running out of rideable boards,my only decent board had a cinderblock dropped on it and has a huge hole so I gotta figure out how to patch it up.dont know if regular ding repair kit can fix it,and it sucks cus its a brand new board
a little sun cure and you're golden, haha. seriously though how do you drop a cinderblock on your only good board?
IOP was chest/shoulder for a while, then went to waist at low tide. The wind wasn't too bad until 7ish. I was in a funk, cause I just couldn't find a good place to be. I did catch a few nice sets. I am not sure if I am going out tomorrow. I am afraid by the time I get out if work the wind will chop things up. I really need to take a sick day, because the morning is going to be tits here.
i have no idea.i keep my boards in the yard and my a-hole roommate was moving something and when I went to get my board I noticed a big sized hole in it.he never even admitted he did it but I know it was him,the only thing that could do that much damage to my board in the yard was a cinderblock.i feel like dropping a cinderblock on his guitar, boards aint fukin cheap
idk man its call for 3-5 but i have to see it to believe it. i really need a damn wave man. i need something over 5 foot because its been to long.. when was our last 5 foot wave? winter...
Or buy a cheap ass rack like I did. My boards are my children. They are stored inside in a safe area at all times.
Arthur. At least here. Just barely though. I would believe it will be 3-5+ here. It was 2-4 here today. Incoming tide tomorrow morn just as the storm is passing by. That is going to be good.
my house is legitimatly tiny,i have no room.i usually keep them in the attic but its a pain in the arze to go up and take them out.the only thing I really protect is my winter suit and gear,i keep in my drawer so the cats and dog don't scratch into it.a rack would be a good idea,i just gotta find a place to put it
I have 4 different surfers as neighbors and I can see all their boards from my yard.the yards around here are the only decent space we got.everyone keeps their boards outside around here.i bet a few of them are probably on this forum,i don't talk to them tho,I know some weird Hawaiians that moved in recently got a whole quiver of boards I can see from my yard.im thinking about possibly putting a rack on my wooden fence in the backyard.i don't know if longterm sun exposure/weather exposure is good or bad for boards.i havnt really seen any problems over the years,in winter I usually have to dig my boards out the snow and the ice doesn't melt til it hits the salt water
