okay, so is that bump next Friday a glitch or something? There's no storms out in the Atlantic right now so I'm just a bit confused

HOLee do you know anything about the hype train? It's singlehandedly resulted in only minor depression for surfers on the EC compared to last summer's severe depression.

And the fact that on 8/29, this storm has the potential to be tucked SO FAR behind Hatteras that North of Nags Head isn't even getting a sniff of it.

NOAA WW3 map for 8/29. That blue over the mid atlantic is called us being sheltered from the swell by the OBX.

yeah Saturday 8/30 looks like the time it gets to us. Hatteras could deny us the clean long period swell running out in front of the storm that we would get if the track was further out.

The SI member who is REALLY gonna get hooked up with tropical juice is Gaffer out in San Diego. Holy ****! The models are calling a for HUGE hurricane swell to hit California the whole end of the week.

    I predict a complete shred-fest in Belmar.

Yeah man, they are about to run out of letters with their PAC Canes. Had the SD/OC reports up this morning when I stopped by surfline. North SD and all of OC are running 6-7 feet it says. Those big, southern hemi groundswells are the best man. Trunks. Super fun, but not as deadly as those winter NWs. Reefs actually wake up a bit in August. All very good things.

I cannot wait to see the summer warriors attempt to paddle out when Cristobal's swell impacts the Delmarva...

Especially Wednesday. That mix of 4-5ft 11s and 3-6ft 16s is going to gobble anyone that isn't watching for outside bombers! (Swells for Assateague)
