Thanks bud. Colorado was great, I'm so glad I got to see that place.

I am having a great day today I am feeling very lucky. I was surfing today and as I was walking back down the beach and an elder couple were walking the other way and the lady said "excuse me, you are very good".

Just read your post. These two compliments have left a **** eating grin on my face.

    Anyways...TY.

Back to Tudors comment there are far worse spots to surf in NJ. AC is a swell magnet and one of the better places for a competition I believe, especially a longboard competition. Also, kind of a **** move to sandbag the entire competition and make it more about him than a contest.

Shoots AC could use all the wholesome events it can get.

All this having been said I will 80% be too lazy to go down and watch.

Remember, when taken in context, Tudor wasn't hating on AC specifically, or NJ in general. He wasn't saying, why have it in AC if its going to be in NJ. He is saying, why are we holding this contest on the entire coast. So, he used a much broader brush to slam everyone along the entire coast. He was taking pictures of Flat VB and posting: This is what we can look forward to for conditions having an even on the east coast. He mentioned AC by name, because that was the spot they are trying to hold it. He wasn't taking shots and New Jersey, or AC. He was taking a shots at the east coast. He went on to defend it on social media. Basically said, yeah, and growing up all the guys from OZ and HI told me the surf in CA sucks. I just laughed it off and paid it no mind and he basically said that is what everyone else should do. He didn't take it back either. He just said, yeah, the surf over there is second rate. I don't think many of us can argue that.

Sounds like we know the same joe - small world. I cut my surfing teeth in AC and Brig and surfed both for years. But, I don't get why everyone is so pissed at Tudor for not wanting to hold a longboard contest there. Sure, there are epic days. Sure, AC has the infrastructure. But, AC does not have the consistency to schedule a longboard contest that will likely have the wave quality that would make the event work. You all know that that is true. Its a simple fact and why everyone goes nuts when there are 4' waves. AC could have surf conventions galore, and they should. Why isn't there a crew of local NJ guys putting together a world class surf convention, with nightly bands, parties, after parties, etc. You guys could pull people from the whole east coast plus west coast if you set it up right and marketed it. That would help your economy and god knows you need (and deserve) it. There are plenty of other pros who would be on a plane to support the right event.

Gaff brought up Bogeton Wolftucks in another tread. Is that why Tudor doesn't like AC? Bro's afraid of getting eaten.

    Interesting.

I agree about the skating and surfing in south jersey. I live in Ocean county now but I went to school near ac at Stockton. I lived around the area, Ventnor, Brig, AC. I had so much fun surfing and skating down there... It is more looked down upon in OC.

Maybe its the proximity to NYCers.

You ever skate the Brigantine skatepark?

Also off topic, you ever go on the whale watcher? Is it fun?

Thinking of taking my gf out on it but it seems like a party boat without the fishing yaknow.
