i didn't lay them side by side or measure w/ a tape measure, but there couldn't have been more than 1/2" difference between them in entry rocker. also, i disagree that 2 full liters can be considered "negligible". at 200lbs, i can pretty successfully ride a board that is 31L in a wide range of conditions, not so much a board that is 29L.
http://www.mysurfboardapp.com/ great tool for calculating volume on boards that dont have it listed. I love nerding out to this thing
Mr. Falzone is obviously affiliated with the app.... What's your affiliatation? Is this a multi-user marketing scheme or is it some kind of coincidence that the app Falzone is selling is the same one your raving about?
31 L?! Wow. I am about the same size as you (right now 192) but I find that 34-38L (my 6'2 white diamond is 38) a minimum to get me into waves well. I am a very strong paddler too with extensive swimming background. I guess its each person's physique that makes the difference, like where that weight is distributed on your body.
i'm a very fit 205...an ocean lifeguard & prone paddleboard racer. i find i'm most comfortable in good-excellent surf on a hpsb close to 32L, closer to 33 in decent-good, 34 or so in more marginal. depends, too, on the shape of the board & how the foam is distributed.
I'm wondering if this thread can be a sticky. Every time I look for a new board I try to find this post. What ya think Micah?
