    Volcom has BECOME the establishment.

I once surfed with Jimmy Buffett. He saw Bob Marley in 1975 in Chicago. I have the tape. He has the tape. We both liked the Natty Dread encore. Just a regular guy. Pretty cool. He was SUPing with a few of his bros. His boat is basically an aircraft carrier. These are all the facts.

In 1980 something I met my hero Gerry Lopez at Chichos. Around the same time, I almost ran over Wes Lane at S turns when he darted out in traffic. I crushed Bruce Hornsby's hand at a Food Lion in Williamsburg. I rode on a ferry with River and Joaquin Phoenix's dad. I made Zimmerman's lawyer uncomfortable in a P'Cola airport. I helped the Allman Bros (mostly Jai Johanny Johanson) unload a van full of amps in '70. Since I'd rather surf alone, I avoid everyone.

Four of the most ridiculous sentences lined up so close together. What a masterpiece of thought process. Maybe we should break them down to see what they really mean:

    (1) "He doesn't have time to surf" = He doesn't really surf and never did.
    (2) "He is to [too] busy nailing 10's." = He's so insecure (maybe because he doesn't surf) that he can't maintain a healthy relationship.
    (3) We lift ever week together." = He compensates for his insecurity, inability to surf, and inability to maintain a relationship by trying to get big and running around like a peacock.
    (4) "But I surfed with plenty of competition quality surfers up here when the swell gets large." = I surf with lots of other guys who are better than me.

    That about sums it up.
