the closest place i know of is greenlight but foam ez ships like 8 blanks for 150 bucks and if you do the math thats only like 20 dollars a blank. So just get some from foam ez beaucause greenlights blanks arent made by a name company like marjko foam or us blanks.

...so what youre saying is that is better to buy blanks from someone on the other side of the country and pay to have them shipped all the way back here instead of buying them from a local business because they dont have a name brand on them?

brian (at greenlight) only does eps, so you'll have to use epoxy for your lamination and filler coat but brian has all that stuff too. they even sell a kit with everything you'll need (other than tools). if youre looking for a poly blank, shoot me 'pm' with what size your looking for and i will see what i have. cant guarantee anything, but if i have enough blanks in that size i might be able to sell you one.

    Samsurf,
If brasco doesn’t have anything to sell you I could probably pick up a couple blanks for you. Sometime this month I am going to VA to get some blanks from http://www.homeblownus.com/. Reply through email if you are interested because I do not often check the threads. cbcshamey@yahoo.com. The prices from the VA distribution center are 10% higher than what is listed on the actual Home Blown pricing catalog. The 10% has nothing to do with me, the distribution center told me it was 10% higher because they have to ship the blanks in from CA. I’m not trying to deter you from using Greenlight, just putting another option out there…

Greenlight has a bunch of ICE9 blanks on the way to help you guys save shipping costs. You can pick up in Phila for free.

Now you have the choice to shape your own EPS or Poly blank and glass with Resin Reseach's new CE epoxy with UV additives and optical brightner.

Email us for ICE9 blank pricing and availability

    absurfer,

Don't forget the $25 box fee Foam EZ charges. Good bunch of guys out there in Cali, I know them well. But boxes don't cost that much... just saying. And good luck when the blanks show up busted from the freight monkeys playing football with them. The claims process is like pulling teeth and everyone loses time and money.

You don't have to buy EPS or ICE9 from Greenlight but there's a cost savings and a lot less potential for trouble if you buy materials from the East Coast.

support a local business!!! that way they will be there when you need it (like this website). you can get blanks from any local shaper or greenlight, and maybe even some help when starting out
