My life changed yesterday with the arrival of my water housing and the perfect conditions for swimming out (minus freezing temps).

Gonna be hard to shoot from the beach now! Hope you like'em. Pretty stoked on some of the empties..

    Hey Matt

An Ikelite housing, how cool is that? And shooting from the water will really keep you in shape too. So tell us what kind of work you're doing at UNC's Coastal Studies Institute.

    Thanks for the comment MD.

Canon. SPL water housing. 50mm 1.4 till I get some experience in the water, then tokina 10-17.

Yesterday was small, but fun with ideal conditions. Jesse made it look great!

I am a stormwater research tech at the Coastal Studies Institute. We monitor and prioritize the stormwater outfalls here in the Outer Banks testing for various types of bacteria and their sources, basic water quality parameters, and load. It's one of the most exciting, valuable, and thorough stormwater projects out there. Great job, but project funding runs out in late June..

Plunging into full-time photography after that. Got some wedding/portrait opportunities so we'll see what happens.

Prefer to shoot in the water though :)

Nice shots man, I have a chad stickney underwater housing and love that thing. The 10-17 is a really sick lens, if you check out my site www.mhwphoto.com that's what all my water shot are from. I just got the 50 1.4 for xmas can't wait to try it out. What fstop were you using that day?
