The day after Luis in '95 my cousin and I, for some strange reason, started hyping 'the swell of 2014'...no bs, don't know why. But it's been a standing joke since. So far, the prophecy is holding up nicely.
Been surfing since 1987 and that may be the best summer I can remember. My memory's not great. Maybe that's part of it. But man, it was fun. And yesterday was just as good as it gets round these parts.
