I'm down in Balt on Sat/Sun this weekend with all Sunday to myself. Looks like there's good swell now through then even though it's fading by Sunday. What general area (no break naming needed) is holding? Never paid much mind to that way til now. Anyone flown with boards on Southwest? I'd plan on just renting but who knows if I'll look on CL and find a deal.
I'd check out Assateague near OCMD and Cape Henlopen in Lewes DE. Both are sweet lil spots. There isn't a long stretch of beach on Lewes but it produces a kind of miniature point break with the jetty.
Not sure if your willing to go farther out but I'd make the trip to Jerz if it wasn't that bad. This whole weekend looks solid. You'll find me in OC everyday.
If you're bringing a small board (<6ft) you may be able to use your super power of persuasion to get them to waive the fee (I know this has happened- tell em they're golf clubs and wink) . Otherwise 75 each way. If you rent you'll be in Ocean City, check out btn 20th and 50th st. Otherwise Assateague.
anyone able to provide me some intel via PM on Cape Henlopen tides? I might hit it one day at peak high tide and could see this being an issue. Grassias
If you click the forecast link for Delaware and then the tides table, that will be accurate for any of the ocean spots in Delaware...its only like 25 miles of coast you know.
