anybody remember mr.bungle from the 90s?
Yep! Saw them 3x. Great club show. 1st album was by far the best. Ever listen to Fantomas or Tomahawk? (Patton). Or Secret Chiefs? (Trey Spruance).
These guys would be great with Clutch.
"Badass" by Bouncing Soul: http://www.totallyfuzzy.net/ourtube/the-bouncing-souls/badass-video_cb690a09e.html Actually, I never listened to this band before. Just got a kick out of the vid.
these guys used to ply at the local music spot in my town every other week for bout 2 years till they hit it big. def a great band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_HKgOWG3qE thanks chicc, brings back memories. im gonna pull out some old cds and rock dis shyt.
thanks for that. so when you saw them did they have hootchie kootchie dancers on stage showing their nekkid boobages? A good deal of their vids have them in it. As far as Mr. Bungles, I liked him better when he had No More Faith. It shouldn't bother me. But it does.
never heard of them bout to look them up on youtube.yea the 1st bungle album,i had the cassette tape with the big face on it.it took me like 3 weeks to remember what the name of the band was,mr bungle lol,the new music nowadays just straight out sucks.im stuck in the 90s and fine with it
Whatever happened to Monster Magnet anyways? Just kinda faded away. I dig FNM, but still think his work with Mr. Bungle (first album) was better. Cep - there's good stuff out there post 90s, but ya gotta dig for it. PM me and I'll try to come up with some suggestions.
nah no dancers. the place in my town only holds about 150 peeps max so there isn't much of a stage. they used to bring an overhead projector (the kind they used in school) and put a clear pie dish on it with some water and food coloring in oil and then put another clear plate over it. move it up n down to give this psychedelic vibe goin. real basement stuff. they were nobodies then. theyre from Red Bank NJ. about 5 mile from where I live. don't know wqhatever happened to them. I see their lead guitarist every now and then around town. I think there was a lot of infighting and drugs goin on. and the lead singer had a super huge ego. hahaha dude didn't like me neither cuz I had some girls back then he liked. they wouldn't go near him though. dude is pretty f'n ugly. his grill was roached.
Here's a few favorites that maybe didn't make the list. Fugazi, the F**king Champs, Allman Bros (w/Duane of course), Radiohead, Derek Trucks, Graveyard, James Brown, Hendrix (preferably electric ladyland), just about anything Mark Knopfler plays, Floyd (w/ Waters), Taj Mahal, Transfer (local sd band).
