Been catching waves all week in So.Cackalina! Chest high and fast this morning. No crowds 75 degree water. Can't wait untill Friday.
it has been a good week so far,,exellent waves and with gonzo swell on way wind switching to west can only get better i'd say
The surf at the pier cam looks week. Surfed washout from 8 to 10 and it was solid chest high. Believe it or not. "You shoulda seen it earlier".
Was just down at the Westin on the beach. Its getting chest high. Tide is about an hour from Ideal. Gonna sit today out with the hand thing.

I talked with a guy monday and he's been driving from Mt.P to FB to escape the SUP crowd. FB has been breaking sporadically because of the tide and sandbars. It will be fun for a little while and then just stop for awhile. I haven't surfed IOP since last year but might check it out Fri.
No surf. None. Ever. But ya gotta make do with what ya got. Just don't be dissing on the BBQ. People take that sh*t serious around these here parts)
yea iop does have its fair share of sup..mon morning though was around 15 surfers to only 1-2 sup..so..
I'm usually off work on mondays so I love when there is surf! Minimal crowds, everybody all mellow. Surfed monday for 3 1/2 hours with maybe 10 to 15 people out. There were a couple sup but they were cool and capable.
It was choppy, but good size. Wish I had the log out there. Some mush turned into real waves eventually. I was out until 7. It cleaned up around 6ish, but it was only waist high by then.
It did well on the rollers. I like the log for the long gradual mushy waves. I had to sit way inside. I could have stolen the wife's board. Is is more like a funboard, but the flowers all over it don't match my board shorts.
