Nice dude. Saw several like this in NC today. Tired and sore, gonna pass out and see if there are some leftovers tomorrow.
This morning in moco was a terrible sloppy mess. Completely thought we were gonna get skunked. Waited for the tide to turn around and boy am I glad I did. SL was absolutely firing...it was a tube fest.
If you're in NE this weekend and not headed to a point break in Maine or at least NH then you're dead wrong. Can't wait to hear about how damn good the PBs are in ME tomorrow. Hope you all get stoked!
Gonzalo delivered in central florida yesterday. I surfed here but the pics are not mine. Some closeouts but some fun and fast as hell rides. Best surf I have had in a long time. http://www.gulfster.com/Daily/2014PictureGallery/101814ec/index.html
Hey brah- that's a bummer- feel bad for you bro! Maybe it's time to just make the move to Belmar,NJ... It's closer to your work too... Seriously Every other surf car I saw at my usual spot was ny plates... Everywhere!
Pea Island was the bomb, literally. Rolling, racy peaks made for many a rear-exit close-out barrel. Regardless it was all in good fun until I got recycled over the falls on a nice 7-8 footer which planted me arse-first into the sandbar nearly breaking my back. Session concluded! (but at least it sounded better than the weak dribble rolling into VB)
CAPTJAQ Can I ask what part of AI you were at (state or national)? I was there all day on a red and yellow, short board. I am trying to figure out if this photo was me. Saturday was so much fun! I hope everyone got waves.
Here's a pic of an old guy on a SUP. AI on Saturday. The swell was a late arrival. Around 2 or so. Things lit up. And by that time most everyone went home. Empty line-ups and perfect conditions. Funnest day a surf in years for me.
What time did you surf? I surfed SL from like 8-10 and it was kind of crap and like chest high (tops) on set.
I was just north of Bonsteel Park on Saturday. Very fun barrel fest, way overhead peaks. Glad you got it good! Where were those photos from? Looks like near Canaveral with the tanker on the horizon.
I wasn't there but good chance that was just south of PAFB and north of Indiatlatic, usually where the Gulfster pics are from.
