Anybody have any opinions about Santa Cruz Surfboards vs. the traditional foam boards? Any stories on how they ride or quality is appreciated.

The core is the real dif. all depends on your tastes. eps(santa cruz ect.) tends to be more corky in larger surf, an absolute dream in smaller surf. any surface chop creates problems. traditional boards are smoother, flex better with better memory. they are easier to fix as well and that matters because they ding much easier. try one first and see if you like. shops usually have demos. if you get a santa cruz,, just make sure your dimensions are right for you(thickness, rocker ect.)-go thinner.... best of luck!
