I am assuming you are on the west coast, but it's all bogus guessing, but if El Nino continues, surfline's predictions were, NorCal = A- SoCal = B+ HI was an A-/B+ depending on who you ask. 1 out of the 4 even suggested NorCal will be a grade above Hawaii for the season... If you can believe that. But if El Nino gets going and the winter swells have more W than N, everone from BC to Baja if going to have a thumping winter. Good luck. Haven't heard such bold predictions for the north Atlantic =)
Yea suck one. my buddy lives in SD and is constantly sending me pics and forecasts for his area. Working on trying to move out there or go to school out there I don't here of very good work opportunitys tho so it's a risk
Along with the worst drought in history, wildfires, and plate tectonics. At least they have surf going for them!
That, and with my current salary I'd have to live in a dumpster if I hope to be within a 20min drive to the break.
Yes. I know it ain't 2002, but I found a job the day I got there. There are jobs galore and they pay a lot more than they do in other regions.
Haha, it aint no thing man. We would sleep through quakes most of the time. You get used to it. If you live by the beach, there are no fires and drought? Its the dessert, that is why no one lived there until they figured out water supplies and refrigeration. Droughts, Quakes and Wildfires don't affect coastal living at all out there. Every few years, it will snow ash out into the ocean from traveling ash, but thats about it unless you live in Alpine and drive 1.5 hours to the beach. And it is common place to not see rain for nine straight months out there, and they accumulate all of 2 inches over the next couple months. That place is one big drought. Always.
I guess there's plenty of wildland firefighter work available. There's a company in Prineville OR that hires dudes for 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or something like that. They make good money.
Well dam maybe I'll try and make it more of a priority then hearing that from someone who lives there
We have enough East Coast and Midwest transplants here in CA. You should probably stay where you are. The surf is better on the east coast anyway
lol your such a kook, who do you think your kidding anyways? big bad cali surfer!!! ohhh stay where you are. bro i piss on your cutbacks. i bet your one of those insta locals from Utah. i just might move to cali next week then and poop in (your) line up.
5th Generation Californian. Cali is in Colombia. The waves are better on the East Coast than SoCal, and almost as consistent.
what cali are you surfing because east coast is pretty much flat the next 7 days and we were shttin bricks over this gonzalo swell when you get gonzalos brother el nino on the reg
