I'm 5'10 and pushing 250. As you'd imagine i'm in between an xl and a 2xl and no surf clothes ever fit me. Any advice to a custom wetsuit guy or a surf shop who can do it would be appreciated.

Back in the day - hotline wetsuite from Cali would do a custom suite.

Xcel makes a 3XLS that your dimensions might fit into.
    5'10"-6'1" / 220-240lbs.

It's "suit" people, not "suite"! You're encouraging stereotypes, sheesh.

No, it's "suite" here. SI serves a more refined surfing community, so we prefer the french spelling (even though it doesn't actually translate exactly to wetsuit). It lends a certain je ne sais quoi. We could use the actual french words for wetsuit which is "combinaison de plongée," but then people might think we're totally gay, so we stick to suite.

This needs to be a contender for post of the year. Well done.

You would probably be OK in several manufacturers 2XL or 3XL suites. I suggest you get on the horn with some local shops and see what they have in inventory, then go try them on. Lots of variation between brands, so try em on, regardless of how annoying it is to do so.

The arms and legs will be a tad too long, but even the 2XL heaight starts at 6', and your only 2" shy of that.

I'm 5'11" and float 210-220lbs and find Hyperflex and Rip Curl both fit me well in XL. maybe start there. I've tried other brands that were cut "skinny" and just would never work for me. Although now that suites are so incredibly stretchy, they are all more forgiving. Good luck

I like the way "de plongee" rolls off the tongue
