They don't let them, because Libertarians totally destroy progressive arguments in debates. On the flip side they take away votes from Republicans, who to me are complete pussies these days.

Voting in this two party system is like trying to figure out which rapist will use lube.

I always vote out of respect to those who fought and died for our privilege to vote. I have put in a write-in candidate's name out of protest to the jerks that we have to choose from on the ballot. Once I voted for Corky Carrol for president. I also voted for Pat Paulson way back in the day. It is a shame we can't have independent candidates untainted by graft. Land of the Free. Freedom to buy anything you can afford.

I wish there was a way to see, after the election, all of the write-in votes that were submitted. Or, at least anyone that got over a certain number of votes (say 100). I'm sure it would be a funny list.

NH has had a rough night. Effin MA transplants (now including myself, except I voted to actually remain 'live free or die') decided to vote like MA. So, move to NH to save money, proceed to vote MA style politicians in, and then wonder why it's becoming expensive.

    Brilliant.

Options in the northeast are typically vote for some rino, or vote for someone that stalin would consider interesting in conversation. At least the rest of the country still has members of all parties with a few logical braincells left rattling around between the ears.

Libertarians need a windfall of cash. God help us next round if the third parties don't start snatching seats. Perpetual state of ****ed will take its final rear naked choke hold on us all.

Not voting is even dumber than voting and expecting anything major to change. Left, Right, whatever dumb party you identify with, whatever you want, you're not getting, as long as corporations and rich scumbags finance campaigns. Nothing will change in this country until we have publicly financed elections.

Wealthy elites run this country and their children inherit positions of power in a structure identical to the royal monarchy that our forefathers rebelled against. A vote for either main party is a vote for royalty. The American dream is on life support and your children are f*cked, thanks to your parents and the blind trolls that they propagated upon the Earth.

Lobbying is illegal in Germany, how about that? Here, it's part of life, not only is your vote usually sold and predetermined, but so are your medications. Doctors get lobbied, polls get lobbied, and some of you get lobbied too. Good Ole boys, lets swig back another, cheers to financial reach-arounds!! The future? What about ME?

Man, just go to CNN this morning and drink it all in. In the midterms especially, there are very few surprises, but like I said, Obama is going to have an interesting final 2 years in office for sure. I hope he has accomplished all he set out to by now, because things certainly went the wrong or "right" way, depending on your views.

    Everything should be referendum.

Republican controlled house will most likely mean harsher policies towards public land and predators. And **** Obama too.

Yeah, hard to tell. Most of the topics on the local ballot down here were with regards to land, and specifically my county borrowing money to protect these lands. And the GOP heavy political structure was all in favor of the protection of the land. So it was a shocker there, but it seems like not everyone, regardless of their political affiliation is all in one way or the other. This county's bread and butter is the landscape, waterways and tourism, so it is everyones best interest to go that way, but I was glad to see that pretty much everyone was in favor of it.

I guess the biggest thing that I took from yesterday was this: The non-partisan exit polls spoke louder than anything. 78%+ of ALL the american voters are unhappy with EVERYTHING going on in this country. And all 78% of the exit polls put Obama and his admin at the top of the list.

So, the telling thing there is that even the left is unhappy. Even if the GOP had a lot to do with it, the current administration has basically lost all support of their own voters. That says a LOT. There has not been a president in office EVER that has seen such negative exit polls. I mean, these numbers make G W look like a freaking hero of the people....
