Isn't he 50 now? I'd like to surf half that good when I grow up.

Those last couple of waves was at the J bay contest. He smoked Occy. he could have won the actual contest.

Tommy F***ing Curren. I was waiting for him to jump on the back of one of those dolphins and have a tow-in sesh. Still shredding, no doubt about that.
I wonder what Jimmy Slades is going to be doing at 50+? Will Slater still be doing airs and carving 360s and whatnot? That'll be interesting to see. We're going to see the first generation of old farts doing air reverses soon...LOL. I'm sure they will look terrible. More than I can do.

I forget how classic a style he has, and then something like this reminds me. I can watch people like curren surf all day and never get tired of it. not one junk air the entire time, love it!

To me Curren is the most visually appealing surfer to watch ever. His timing and positioning on a wave is flawless. Only 3 other surfers even come close......Taylor Knox, Joel Parkinson and Kelly Slater. Wishing they would digitally remaster The Search video series. Must have watched Searching For Tom Curren 150 times.

Got to meet him a year ago. It was interesting to learn that he often travels without boards and goes to a local shop and buys what he needs when he gets there. The day I met him he was riding an off the rack CI Fred Rubble.

That is the definition of Surf Porn! Damn! Tom Curren is the style bridge between the timeless carvings of Gerry Lopez and the radical progression of Dane Reynolds. Fluidity and power. Mount Rushmore: Duke. Noll. Curren. Slater?

Cool story. Did Curren say what he does with the stick when he's done & leaving?

Love his style, every move is in the right place, and at the right time. Nothing looks forced, it is all so natural and flowing. It is like he is part of the wave.

He's good on the eyes, too. I always had a big crush on him. I was bummed when I found out he got all christian for awhile but maybe he's outgrown that.
