from following these posts for close to two years, i think that "suit" & "suite" thing is either an inside joke or a form of proper grammar on this here site. and yes, commas are a pita, but it's only the really awful splices that get me. general rule in english is: if you aren't sure about where they go don't use them.

as a former english major and someone with a MA for teaching the only grammar on here that is like nails on a chalk board to me is "then" and "than", and "there" "their" and "they're". but as a an english person i never learned the difference between "affect" and "effect" so who am i to judge? i'm also not on a surf website to correct papers - hence all my posts in lower case.

sorry to jack your tread emass...back to the suites!!!

    Hyperflex Flow Hooded 6/5/4
    Hyperflex Cyclone 3/2
    Bodyglove 2mil long sleeve spring
Rip Curl 5 mil round toe booties
    Xcel Drylock 7 mil mittons
Around 3 pair of boardshorts in rotation... I let my wife buy these for me

Thats All I need/want for year round NJ. Actually, the springsuite isn't needed, but was a gift, and it's nice on chilly summer mornings. I prefer 7mil boots, and will go back to them when I replace these, which will be soon since they smell like a sewer.

I now keep my old winter gear in my trunk during the cold months in case I lose, or tear something. I have a commute to the beach and often go at dawn, so this helps ensure I don't miss a session if I misplace or rip something. Along with fins, a leash, leash rope, duct tape etc...

Always wanted, haven't pulled the trigger (yet) on Patagonia R3 & R4. Worth the extra bucks?

Absolutely. Comes with a lifetime warranty, they dropped their price point into the $380s, well made, etc. I will say that I was looking at isurus and matuse as well when I got my r2, and they were slightly more flexible than patagonia. However, with the price effectively $200 or so cheaper and the warranty, it was a no brainer for me. I found this review to be pretty spot on:
