Looks like pretty standard thruster material to me for someone not too into tater chips. Good idea with the 5 sin setup. Best of luck with it.

 

I can't tell from the picture, how deep is the carbon glassed in? Is in directly on foam or is it in between layers?

Pretty interesting idea for reinforcement, I can imagine it being more effective laid above the surface of the foam itself in between layers. Similar to the idea behind concrete rebar actually.

 

I wouldn't know the difference, but if it's actually in between layers, and actually carbon fiber, i'm willing to bet it's snappy as all hell. Although it's brittle in single strands, weaved up correctly it's as hard as a rock, especially if it's supported on two other ends. It's like silk, all about the weave.

Interesting fin box placement they're usually more paralalel with the stringer. Love the shape though looks like a good board for variety of conditions
