Complete Amino Acids, best ratio of omega3s : omega 6s of any other source of protein (most easily digested by the body), full of magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and other nutrients. There is tons of info online, but below is a small bit from one site (essentially it benefits your body down to the cellular level helping cells regenerate better). I started with hemp hearts, adding it to yogurt and some other things and then felt the difference and moved on to the oil since it is more concentrated. "* All 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential amino acids (EAAs) our bodies cannot produce. * A high protein percentage of the simple proteins that strengthen immunity and fend off toxins. * Eating hemp seeds in any form could aid, if not heal, people suffering from immune deficiency diseases. This conclusion is supported by the fact that hemp seed has been used to treat nutritional deficiencies brought on by tuberculosis, a severe nutrition blocking disease that causes the body to waste away.3 * Nature’s highest botanical source of essential fatty acid, with more essential fatty acid than flax or any other nut or seed oil. * A perfect 3:1 ratio of Omega-6 Linoleic Acid and Omega-3 Linolenic Acid – for cardiovascular health and general strengthening of the immune system. * A superior vegetarian source of protein considered easily digestible. * A rich source of phytonutrients, the disease-protective element of plants with benefits protecting your immunity, bloodstream, tissues, cells, skin, organs and mitochondria. * The richest known source of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids." another site: http://draxe.com/7-hemp-seed-benefits-nutrition-profile/
Dem be good treads. If I ever harvest a wolf hunter, I will ground up the bones and supplement my diet with that.
How does one tell another person about their hemp oil use and not have them think you're a huge pot head?
It doesn't make you high for one and the health benefits can't be denied. Who cares what they think anyway.
first off maca root is not some new kinda super food or supplement. its been used by Indians in Peru for at least 6000 thousand years and was an integral part of their culture and diet. all this talk about what are ancestors ate is so misguided. as far as this hunter gatherer theory that our ancestors ate mostly meat is unfounded. it was a lot easier and less dangerous to pick fruit from trees than chase down and kill wild animals. also you have to break it down to different regions and cultures. a lot of Central African hunter gatherer tribes still in existence have a diet mainly of starchy root vegetables and some meat. but Indians such as the Inuit were mostly meat. some were healthier than others too. what you learned in school with the pictures of cavemen with spears sitting around fires with huge hunks of meat and that their diets consisted of mainly meat is a half truth. there is a lot of anthropological findings from all over the world that suggest different primitive peoples had varying diets pertaining to their location and environment. we evolved to eat meat that's why we have pointy teeth is a joke. camels have pointy teeth too. so do hippos. fuggin gorillas have pointy teeth! uhum they eat plants MIS as far as supporting local biz, i'm all for it, but when my local health food store that caters to the wealthy jacks their $$$$ sky high on some things (like maca root which I don't eat anymore) I see no problem shopping elsewhere. they make enough money off me, and even more off the rich banker's wives and the Syrian mob.
how did all the megafauna of NA die out? those pesky bipedal smart things that harnessed fire killed and ate them but the fact is none of us were there to witness anything, its all conjectures from fossil evidence the other fact is nature doesnt make something that is useless if we only ate veggies, we wouldnt have canines not saying we evolved TO eat meat, we evolved BY eating meat but its all hearsay and conjecture based on fossils unless someone was there to take notes time machine anyone?
Anyone drink acai juice? Costs an arm and a leg but tastes great and you can mix it with other juices to conserve. Tons of omegas and other good things.
CoQ10 If your an older chap who may have subjected your ticker to a bit too many adventures during your youth. Good for the heart. Of course you youngsters think you're invincible. Used to think that too 30 yrs ago.
I agree its all conjecture and i'm not saying we only ate fruits and veggies, but the canine thing holds no scientific weight. like I said many herbivores have canines. our closest so called evolutionary relative the bonobos have canines but their diet is less than 5% animal based. the rest is plant based. the mega fauna of North America died off mostly from the last Ice Age. what was left was killed off when the Europeans arrived. The Native American lived in harmony with nature and only consumed what was needed. they had a respect for nature and recognized the importance of the balance in nature.
After just over two weeks of using Maca, all I can report is some increased gas and
