So pissed we (nj) get 1 day swell and Friday barely a ripple, killin me. Got friday and monday off and doesn't even look like I can get in the water for a session.

Just unbelievable, had to voice my frustration. Hopefully a shift in conditions can bring some waves between fri-mon.

Yeah, I've been dealing with the work thing and not being able to surf since last August... Unfortunately, I have been laid off. Fortunately, I am going to Panama now.

Maybe real early Friday some swell will still linger around in the thigh range before dropping to knee by like 10am..haha. Ridic.

I cannot remember a worse flat spell...I don't have my hopes too high for Thursday! Lots of wind swell, no sand anywhere, tides are wrong. Time to travel

Not sure I understand your comment but I dont longboard, nor am I praying for small waves..I just want a rideable wave and doesn't appear likely between fri-mon when I have off. So yea, I shortboard.

But I do have a 7"0 fun shape that I can use for small surf. There is no shot that i will surf on Friday, I'm just pissed. Maybe go snowboarding to kill time I guess, wack.

One dude made a good point about sand. The bars must be tweaked right now. Damn i don't want a huge let down here but i think thats whats in order.

early morning before the tide goes out will likely be the best bet. Its going to be real short period with the SW fetch overnight.

The first four days of February were pretty good and plenty surfable. Also there were very fun waves all day Sunday the 8th. So this current flat spell is all of three days old. And the one prior to that was 3 days. Please lord, continue to smite us with such "epic" flat spells.

There were waves on Sunday on LBI and in Seaside... waist to occasional chest. I missed out, but some friends caught it.

My bad, yea I guess further south probably got little more size but it was small and when I checked the cams didnt see anyone out.

Still Friday doesnt look good for even a longboard if you have one.

compared to the last two previous winters this is horrible here.
    tiny.
    or horrible wind.
    or bad swell direction.
    plus freezing cold.
