    just thought I'd add my 2 cents here. I don't think the word "trolling" actually comes from the creature. I think it has to do more with the fishing technique (using lots of lines moving at slow speeds).

    What a troll does is put out lots of **** talking (lines) in order to hopefully get an emotional rise out of someone or a few people (fish).

    Bro. I know you've seen the cult classic The Burbs. Ray Peterson (Tom Hanks) takes vigilante ownership of his turf and says "Nobody knocks off an old man in my neighborhood and gets away with it." That's kind of how I feel with these trolls.

    Not necessarily. But this tread could be retitled "things that annoy you". There are plenty of naggers on this site.

    You telling me someone that has at least 3 (possibly many more) forum handles that almost never posts but logs in and out of each one right after one another is up to good things around here? Where there's smoke there's fire brahhh. At least with us more overt and highly participatory cats you know mostly what you're getting.

    Could be they were harvesting email addresses from profiles, not sure why you'd need to do that from 3 different accounts.
