How often do you have surfing dreams, and describe them in vivid detail. I've been having a lot recently and i don't know about you guys but i love them. I'm always going to these hidden local breaks that don't exist, and i wake up wishing they did. Last night i had a dream that in front of the pyramid condo building, there was this awesome reef break like 500ft offshore that was HUGE.

Cool. Last night I had this dream, that I was surfing okay Wrightsville waves, but when you actually rode them, they turn into pipeline perfect barrels! Well, anyways, I've never really been barreled, but in the dream I got this one barrel, and it felt incredible. Somehow, I came out of the barrel switch, but the barrel was incredible! I guess watching My Eyes Won't Dry helped me with that dream. I can't wait to get barreled for real!

more so when I was younger, but I still, after doing a good all day session, I can go to sleep after, and as I am drifting off, I will feel as if I am still in the ocean sitting on my board.

Alright I got one for you.....anytime I have dreams of waves/surf, they're in non-realistic places, places where waves are non-existent.. here's last nights in detail..

I remember trying to get to go ride somewhere with my bro (he doesn't surf  ) OK - so we were going to try to catch this swell we heard of, but for some reason, I was lagging behind and him and someone else left before me. So I remember being upset that I missed riding with him there. SO when I finally got there where they went, it actually turned out to be in a large river, they were breaking on the inside of a bend in the river in very nice form. It was something like the Potomac or the Susquehanna River, because I remember part of the river edge being very rocky with lots of outcrops. Lots of limestone rock. And the waves were coming in on the inside of the bend, and peeling off super cleanly until they just fizzled out in the middle of the river. Probably something like 4ft clean little guys, not barreling, but just peeling off the inside bend. And my bro was coming out off the shore just crazed and stoked that they were nice....

Pretty awkward little dream. A lot of my other dreams, the waves break on fabled coastlines that don't exist, like coming out of a wall of rock, or inside a huge stadium surrounded by a huge valley. Or another one was like some kind of wave machine just pumping out Pipe sized barrels. And another one, I was having some kind of epic journey through some coastline that dropped off kinda like an Oz coast or Cali coast, but just nice looking and weird.

I dunno. I have noticed patterns with my dreams over the last several years...When I am toking up I barely ever remember dreams. But when I'm not (like now) I remember them with shockingly realistic vividness........Anybody else recognize this at all? Or something of the sort?

I always dream that I'm at this wave in Indonesia that breaks on this underwater hotel. Haha it's sick. you can just check the surf from your hotel room and it's like an aquarium with all the organisms swimming around and there's this little chute that takes you up to a little pier at the surface and you just jump off the pier and perfect waves break on top of the hotel. it's so funny. and for some reason it's never crowded and it's always clean 8ft. waves. i'm not complaining

You know its been a really long day surfing when your trying to go to sleep, you close your eyes and its like your seeing waves come in.

    I used to have some.

its funny, cause a few years after I moved here, I was hell bent on learning air reverses and 360s and stuff cause every 15 year old out here can do them.

so I would have super vivid dreams, where I would setup and land the trick.

so, when I went back in the water, it was like my mind treated the drea like it was a memory. it was like all of the sudden, my mind knew I could do it. shortly after, I actually started nailing them.

but I had recurring dreams about it and I think it really pushed my surfing. haven't had any recently. but it was crazy when it happened.

    Nice. :D

Last night, I had another dream that there was surf just like last thursday and I paddled out at the pier . Nothing really happened, but I realized just now that I visited this same spot in another dream a while ago. I also been to the other spot twice that I talked about. It's like you have your own surf "spots" in your dreams. In my dreams they resemble Wrightsville beach's Johnny Mercer's pier, and C-street.

Just had another one last night, there was a spot resembling mavericks just north of Indian River Inlet, Cliffs and everything. Didn't go surfing because it was blown out and about 30 ft. If it were only true

Had another one. It's right after school, so I was trying to get my dad to take me surfing before it got dark. We stopped at Lowes for some reason and we left my shortboard in the car. When we got back, the doors was unlocked, trunk opened, and my board was gone!

    Yeah... sad dream.
