This is a long way off, but it's fun to think about it for us in Florida: too big for me, but the reformed waves could be fun. TIDES Low: 04:31 AM -0.02 ft 04:59 PM 0.12 ft High: 10:53 AM 1.83 ft 11:11 PM 1.69 ft WIND SWELL 6am WNW 9mph ENE 12.1 ft @ 13 sec 9am WNW 9mph ENE 11.1 ft @ 13 sec 12pm WNW 9mph ENE 10.0 ft @ 12 sec
That's how swellinfo gets you to keep coming back, to keep loading those ads, and putting cash in their pockets. If it didn't look hopeful a week out you wouldn't click so much. I hope we get waves anyway. Just sayin, si always has some hope a week out...
I call it the "swellinfo backpedal". 7days out it's head-high+/ 5 days it's down to chest-2-shoulder/ 3days it's waist-high/ then eventually it's 1-2' knee-thigh...never fails. (p.s. I'm also in "dirty jerz"). Might be more accurate on the Left Coast where they actually get "swell" and not just waves.
Show me another forecasting site with better consistency in forecasting...maybe the "narrative" type of reporting from local shops may be a bit more biased but SI gives you more than enough resources on the site to double check the reporting data. We're talking east coast surf...of course it's going to "backpedal"...not uncommon on all forecasting sites...
If the forecast holds true its gonna be insaaaaane, without the Wayne. We all could do without a little Wayne.
Aha! Okay. Let's name this Swell Peter since it is fading quickly, losing some of it's promise, like the name of aN otherwise nice good looking guy I briefly dated about 40 years ago....
