Anybody ever been to Nevis? I just found out i'm going on an all expense paid trip with the company toward the end of February and back on March 1st. I've never heard of anybody surfing there, but I have to think there are waves somewhere on the island. Anybody ever been? Any info you have would be helpful.

Funny thing is my wife and I already booked for Rincon Puerto Rico in April again, so we'll be in the Caribbean twice in two months. Woe is me...

OK i'm bragging a little, but hey, i'm pumped!

Plenty of swell in the ocean over there you may have to use a boat to get to the breaks depending on how far the reef is out. Have a friend who works on a project yacht and he said some of those small islands have amazing untouched waves. Make sure to bring everything you need and a backup or two as far as leashes ect... would suck to actually score big time and then have no leash or fins ect. And not have access to buy any on the island lol.

I was there a few years ago. Since you're with a group you're likely staying at the Four Seasons which is on the west coast and is pretty much totally shadowed for swell. If you drive around to the north and east side there will definitely be some spots but accesability could be tough so the above suggestion of hiring a boat seems like a good idea. Nice place though, not really developed and very laid back.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the video, and the tips and info.

Zeroevol I know man, I didn't mean to rub it in, but I was pretty much not expecting to go this year because I went on the last trip out to Napa Valley back in March when I drove down to Santa Cruz for a couple more days to surf. My "boss" was supposed to go this time as we were alternating to make sure one of us was here to baby sit but it turns out we're both going. I worked all year long with the understanding that I wasn't going and I had accepted that so it threw me for a loop today when I got the email saying I'm actually going.

    Anyways, I'm stoked as sh*t

I hear ya on the water temps, it's like a bath tub down there. I definitely will be taking plenty of pics, or maybe my wife will, IDK. I always bring a camera and my phone for pics but always get caught up in doing things and forget. I like to live in the moment, but sometimes it's good to stop and take some pics to have to refresh memories down the road. I'll see what I can do though. I know nothing, and I mean NOTHING about this place. So i'm excited about that.

Already went and came back, just got around to posting some pics. Wind was out of control so no surf unfortunately but the island was gorgeous.

Cool pics. I recognize St. Kitts in there too. I bet that beach that is on that narrow section of land in your pic gets some waves once in a while (the Atlantic side). I bodysurfed it once during a cruise stop on the island.

Yeah those are mostly St. Kitts, the sunset is Nevis, I have others I may post later. There are definitely spots that break and can get big, it just didn't line up for me in the two days I had available to surf. 20-25mph stiff onshores with bigger gusts, VAS, but I got drunk and ate good food so it worked out
